LOL @ Film Reel complaints
I am ok with what they gave us...at least I can purchase one before August.
I was more or less complaining because of the player selection but that's just bad luck (either out of scheme of have their TOTY counterpart). Could care less about how they play if they're obtainable
Better than I thought. I don't play this game enough to complain about whether they could be better or not
All four of the defensive cards are nice fill ins until easter gets here. Haden and Jackson got me three picks yesterday in lvl between my alt and main, Ill take it.
750 was a nice surprise, and I was able to get a QB to start (replacing MVP Mahomes) and grabbed Haden for giggles. If I need diamond trophies, I have some reels left over for that.
I have 900+ film reels but am happy to hold on to these just in case - they are just like the league crowns in some ways but at least you can get a free 98 for 750 reels which is a good deal

Film players are amazing deals for like 99.5% of the player base. Just because they happen to be diamond exchange fodder for me, doesn't mean I don't appreciate the value in them. Hell, I'm using Dak in LvL currently because UL Elway is a terrible scrambler lol. Anyway, be happy with the free TP/Tokens/Whistles from them (at the worst) and move on.
I have been bashing EA for killing this game over the last several months. This doesn't correct all the wrongs; however, we have to acknowledge when they hit a home run. This was more like a grand slam. This was well done by EA.
I'm honestly surprised they reduced the price of film reels for these new 98 OVR players. Did not see that coming.
I'm good with the OVR and the 750 cost.
I'm just not so cool with it taking as long as it did. Probably 4-6 weeks ago would have been appropriate.

Its such bad planning. I'd argue that Henry deserves either over Carson, but of course it doesn't make any sense to give the same guy a 97 and a 98 relatively close together.
I don't get why everyone is angry that it doesn't help P2P players. Basically everything else in the store helps them. All they really have to do is spend to get a bundle with a rare player, sell him quick, and they easily get coins. They have too much of an advantage everywhere else. I just don't see why they need to get another one here.
New film reel players are garbage to P2P players (those with significant reels) and won’t make any rosters. More smoke and mirrors by EA to try and keep the game fresh and interesting but a real downer for those that keep the game free.
And seriously, recycling the same players is BS. I’m biased, but drop a 98 Chris Carson and I’d likely be more forgiving.
Had they been 100 overall +100 power 140 max power with speed boosts then whales each bought every single one there would be outrage about balance lol
98 at 25% less the cost sounds like the best compromise possible for the situation to me. A boost would have been nice but they would more than likely limit them to weaker boosts anyway then ppl would be mad about that.
EA does many things wrong including taking this long to release them but they are relevant cards at a good bargain considering the 95 overall 1000 reel versions we predicted.
