90+ DB seems to beat the 98+ WR 9 times out of 10... Whenever I catch Odell, Calvin, or Steve on a slant or crossing route they make the most insane catches.
But if I throw deep, even on a 1-on-1, they either get picked, don’t pay attention, or I under/overthrow. The time I find them burning the DB my QB doesn’t throw immediately. Guess what: I get sacked or the ball get batted down. Whether I’m using Spread, Smashmouth, or West
How about y’all?
If the corners are slowly jogging toward my receivers and I snap the ball before they stop, I can throw a deep streak......
....... to satisfy the 75 yard requirement for a spam event. LVL and OD? I barely consider them as viable options.

I don't know if it is Kyler Murray that is the problem, but when a safety blitzes my team, he is flying at my QB unabated, I am furiously tapping on the open WR, and the result...

I played OD for the first time in months...zero catches regardless of being open or not. Played LvL...two picks when my WR was WIDE OPEN. This game is beyond frustrating.
It depends on positioning of the players. If your WR is past(in front of) the CB/S, then you will likely throw an INT, if WR is behind the CB/S then you will likely catch the ball

I don’t understand how it’s an 80 ovr team and they keep up with my 99 speed players. They have even walked me down before 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Quote from Samfromfrisco >> Fade routes are better than straight go routes this season to gain separation
I only find fade smash to be pretty consist.
The flag corner routes grew on me as the season went on. I love double under from vertical for going deep. Smash in spread.
But WC slot routes were my bread and butter most of the year. PA Slot Cross, Seattle, Vert WR Wheel and a few TE routes like X Follow (WR3 Flipped) and RB Circles are really nice for deep routes.
At this point I mostly enjoy scrambling to see if man coverages get weird as you approach the line of scrimmage. When that DB turns around to come play the run just before the blue line of scrimmage you can usually bullet pass to an open receiver on that side or run pretty effectively.
I actually don't have that hard of a time throwing deep. That's mainly how I play in OD. If you max out captain Hopkins, he's probably the best receiver in the game (of course I'm comparing him to WRs without boosts). I'm able to easily finish in the top 500, but have to work at it to get into top 100 because there are some OD games where it is difficult to throw deep. Even outside OD, I don't have that hard of a time. I run VERT plays and I think VERT captains have the best deep throw plays out of the 4 schemes.
There are honestly sometimes where I just throw it up for grabs and my receiver comes down with it more so than not. Of course it helps to have a QB with amazing Deep Throw Accuracy, Play Action Throw, Throw on the Run, etc. along with a core of receivers that are maxed out in SPD, CATCH, SPECT CAT, CIT, etc.
If you don't run VERT plays, you can always try that because it's filled with deep throw plays.

Most of my opponents seem to be able to, especially with Hail Mary, their standard opening play. And at least 3 more times in their series.
I hope they ban that stupid play next year, for good.

Stats never mattered, has been like that for years, the only time we seen it really matter was that LT play which they removed. Quote from doctorjsh
Quote from robertk328 >> Quote from TheMaddenGuru24 >> Of course, it's just significantly harder than last year's "throw it up" style of play where you could get three one play TDs with ease. Lot more sophisticated this year, but it's definitely still possible.
last season was the year of the streak route for sure, where speed killed. not as much this season for sure.
I dont throw deep cos of Ninja Dbs even in Season battle . I occasionally do when guys are open. The Op spread or Vertical guys may have some tips.
