EA, I really love Madden Series (though I wish it had a lot less OD), love the return of sets (and can't wait for more efficient mechanisms to use them that's been discussed), like H2H (hope it can add a leaderboard), and the replacement of Survival with the help and store system is a cool add for LvL.
Most gameplay is still pretty wacky, to be honest, even blocking for most popular plays in Vertical that I use. I can't go back to the whole list of issues but these things really affect rushing:
1. How can defenders have more agility to with change of direction than runners? I'm pretty sure my 80 OVR/1100 Team is ahead of most of my competition but there may be defenders with better AGI stats than my HB. However, I think there's a flaw here where they anticipate my moves better than me making them.
2. Pursuit is still not good. Again, I have a direct lines, better angles, etc. and my faster runners get caught consistently.
3. Runners crumple at the threat of getting close to anyone - a defender, a blocker, a blade of grass, it would seem based on the animations. If I'm running full steam with inches to go to the goal line and a defender (as much as the animation shows) reaches out - how does the runner just crumple? How does the runner crumple when he runs into the back of the defender? How is there no chance to jump around? Add the auto-hurdle back in for starters from 2 years ago.
