Sorry you're having bad luck. I've pulled 83 Damon Harrison, 80 Myles Garret, a few 79s, some other upgrades and some other golds that I've thrown in the exchange set. Need one more 75+ "trash" player to get an 80 overall player.
Played it a few dozen times, no Golds over 74 but got enough to build a 75+ and over 40k coins in the bank.
One of my League mates pulled Luck on his 7th go though. Luck was (and now is) on his side :-D

welcome to the world of random pulls. This is actually not a terrible thing.
This is one of the bullshit aspect of this game I hate. You could spend most if not all day playing that event and end up never getting him. Then they're are players that pull him twice in playing the event only 10x. Mm is starting to become a drag. Events take to long to complete, unless you have time and money to help you along. The little glitches in the game are frustrating. It just seems like EA doesn't really care about a quality gaming experience.
I did not expect to pull Luck. Played event about 10X, pulled 78 OG that fit my scheme.
I pulled an 83 punter and a leaguemate pulled an 84 kick returner. No Luck sightings.
37 attempts and nothing?!! Damn! And allegedly people got “Lucky” twice (who knows if somebody pulled him 3 times).

It never changed lol except I think we would have been able to play this event a lot more on average with blitz tokens

No Luck for me either. Try it a few and give up. Use my staminas to get master Jalen. I have zero luck. I have pull zero elite so far this season. I earn every elite I got.
