question about evolved players

I know its probably to early for most, but hopefully we can get some questions answered. 

Do evolved players lose power when you evolve them? I think I heard they dont in console, but I think I tried it out with shazier and he lost power.  Cant remember tho.

If someone buys an already evolved player, can they continue the evolution? Or do they have to pay in gems?

When you convert a 40 power LTD into a 50 power using gems, he will lose his training. You'll get back 1/3, as you would when you use any card in a set. But following that, he will not lose any training as you continue to evolve.
