The thread doesn't need locked and I'm personally not offended. It's just a matter of etiquette man. If your IGN was posted and and someone said you rage quit on them twice I'm sure you wouldn't enjoy seeing that posted on a social forum. Do unto others....

I could've, but it's more about my scores and how they can vary within minutes. I'm not changing anything so if you feel offended or think it's not very cool, oh well, maybe get the thread locked up or something

This seems worse for me the past few days as well. Wondering if the huge players makes an exaggerated difference.
Or your playcalling did not have any variance in game 2? Seems like you only went for long bomb rather than mixing run and pass.
IKR. I was talking with my leaguemates some days ago about how OD is rigged sometimes. Two seasons ago I was in a 18 winstreak playing against 85-88 OVR people (I was at 86 at the time). Sunddely I played two matches against 82-83 OVR people and I just couldn't score. Their def raped my HB 90% of the time at the LOS, my WRs couldn't catch anything. I barely scored 600-700 in those matches.
I have no doubt that some of those guys who lost to to me were also fked by EA (I can't say I would lose, but it is not normal a high OVR guy scores like 400-500 pts).
To be fair, most of my matches are ok, close ones etc., but we can't deny that sometimes it is rigged.
The arcade like unpredictable nature found in every aspect of Madden is due to the exclusive licence EA buys, for without it a competitor with a shoestring budget and college level understanding of game design would put them out of business in under a year. If there was this level of random frustrating variances, almost slot machine like, in any other PvP title it would fail to make it out of beta. Everyone at EA should have a feeling of shame every single day they show up to work and put their reputation on this steaming pile of digital manure.
Variance doesn't explain the things that happen in OD. There is variance, and then there is OD RNG bizarro world craziness.
The worst part about OD though is when you score 3 more TDs and have 90 more yards than your opponent, but lose to the silly "tactics" involved. A match (in my opinion) shouldn't be determined whether someone was able to run on a couple plays vs someone not being able to. Running isn't based off of enough skill to allow it to be such a factor. We are talking about possible 400+ point swings, it's crazy.
If you run for 200+ yards EA wants you to win. 1,5k points without any pressure and the smallest possible captains bonus is just hitting the jackpot.
I know this sounds odd. In OD unranked I always start by giving opponent a safety hoping they return the favor so it becomes a safety fest. Anyways I discovered how often I won the games after giving them the safety.
I tried a variance in ranked. I discovered when I jump to a huge lead by about 300 to 400 points with a minute twenty left my offense (not all the time but many) becomes stupid with passes gone astray and receivers forgetting how to catch. So I tried letting my opponent score first and holding back for first 25 seconds. I then noticed the passing and throwing stayed good until the end.
OD seems like a worse version of the old Midway sports like NBA Jam and Blitz. The AI seems determined that no one can get too far in front and will rebound against you with your offense just failing,
I was really heavy playing OD and for the last 2 season I just dont even bother. Still in gold this season it changed so bad after an update and it's never been the same.
I just wanted to show how random OD truly can be. Most people who play already know, but here are two screenshots, against the same guy, who ragequit immediately both times as soon as he saw me. This is a 75 OVR 1100 power guy.
Game 1 - A game where I probably ran above expectation, normally dont run this well even with 70 OVR opponents
Game 2, 3 minutes later - When the doomswitch is on and you truly can't do much. Note the graph to see that I was actually calling plays and not just taking a break (I was going for 3k points in 2 games and well...yea)
