Elite 1s dont count? UF

I bought some elite 1s thinking they would get boosts from the masters and Lott. However, only Elite 2 plus players get boosts from them?.... It says UF players not Elite 2+ UF players....Just either need fixing to make Elite 1 players count or change card description since it isnt true. 

EX: 80 Kerrigan UF....

There is an asterisk next to my 94 Sherman master however nothing on the card clarifies wtf the asterik means, typical ea halfassing stuff
