He probably added the boosts before adding him to the lineup. Otherwise that does not make sense to me.

No, you have to purchase the chem slots then purchase the chems(passing D, Passing O, etc.)
Does Madden give your players a attribute boost just for being coach? I’m talking before you add the 2k training boost on to him? Thanks
