You could get 50/50 of whatever team you want and just use the “specialists” section to put your top overall players as rush DEs, sub LBs, slot WR, etc. with no consequence of losing your team chem. Most of the time you should be in nickel and dime defenses anyways.
I am running a Cowboys theme team. I'm at 35/50 with help needed at safety, TE and WR. Only Cowboys I don't have are LTD Walls and Primetime Lawrence, can't see myself spending that kinda coin on those cards.
I run a 50/50 Giants team, it’s an 85 OVR with 83 offense and 88 defense. The non Giants I use are 88 Neal, 96 Shazier, 91 Woodson I have 94 Ricky Williams as my PWHB. I sold 90 Marcus Cannon to get 91 Barkley but I will definitely invest into another RT lmao Ereck Flowers is there rn

I run Browns about 30 of em plus some cool legends I like. I wouldnt recommend it, O-Line is ok but thats about it
I run a Cowboys and a Bucs theme team every year on my prospective accounts.. my main is Bucs themed and it's a mixture of both Buc players and elites to fill in the gaps where there isn't a competitive Bucs elite available.. but this year is looking decent, 94 Alstott , 94 Barber, 94 David, 93 Mike Evans, 93 Tim Brown , 92 McCoy, 91 Talib, etc etc... I am taking full advantage of the Team item chems.. I have 6 slots filled with 3 different Tier 2 Buc chems . I'm really enjoying that..

I don't play WL. I have played only 2 online games this year (before I decided to go the team theme route) and I am 1-1. I may try H2H this weekend if I have time but since there is a bit of a lull right now before MF I need to get back to farming.
I have what counts as 51 Patriots (x3 Team Chem from diamond Brady helps). The only non Patriots I'm running are Shazier (too much time invested not to, plus the Pats have no MLBs to speak of) and Strahan (he's my team captain and the Pats only LE in the game is Adrian Clayborn). With that many Patriots they get +3 speed. I have tier 6 BO and I mix BD and LD plus team chem so all my DBs have +3 MCV and ZCV. I'm working on the other team chems but they cost a fortune

The greatest advantage to theme team is no longer feeling the need to chase the newest/best card. Build your favorite team, run with what you brung and have fun. Stack your coins for when team upgrades are available, was, rinse, repeat. I even changed my farms over to team themes (Lions & Saints)
I want to run a Browns squad biut right now we don’t have enough elite players to even be competitive in solo battles.
49ers are easily the best team to do this with at the moment. Raiders/Cowboys close 2nd.
Im still unsure about doing it but leaning towards maybe half and half until more Jet eligible players are added or upgraded.
I run a 50 man raiders squad at 87 OVR and a 93 squad. The raider squad is so much fun. I use them on solos and take the Raiders O on squads. With Rice, Moss and Tim B. It’s nice But the run blocking sucks, but pass is off the charts. Osemele is in the upper 90`s on his pass blocking stats and Hudson is close :cool:

I have 40 49ers on my team. I also run tier 4 49ers passing chem. My best players are 93 Rice, 92 Moss, 90 Deion, 90 Garoppolo, and 90 Ruben Foster. I’m actually competitive. I’m in all Madden 2nd string and actually won a super bowl a few hours ago. Garoppolo with 97 THP and Gunslinger is nice
I'm actually very competitive with 40 49ers, I've won like 40 of my last 50 games. It' sucks having garbage back ups but I have enough elite Niners with boost that makes it worth it .

Love the Malcolm Jenkins has 99 zone and 95 man coverage. It is very fun.
That’s another thing I was thinking.
If i do this I either need pass D or run blocking for my team chemistry to help my OL or Secondary.
Those are the clear weak spots unless Madden adds a Mangold, Ferguson, Faneca or Revis, Lott, Cromartie to help me out.
Do you run full 50 man teams of the same team chem along with team boosts on jerseys?
Or do you mix it up maybe run 40 man teams to get the +2 speed but add 10 or so other Elite players to keep up competitively with the community since most teams can’t fill Elite theme teams at the moment?
ive been wanting to run a Jets team and while I have some good players to go to on both sides of the ball there isn’t a ton of depth yet to take advantage of it.
I play for fun so I’m not concerned with winning or losing but I do still want to be competitive while playing but at the same time want to represent my Jets in the best way possible with what we have available.
