Problem with the possibly new Power Ups releasing on Friday
why would they go back to last year's way of power ups when they've already come up with an entire system to do it better?
They release the 68 ovr power up - then you put the 78, 86, and 90 into it like all the other power ups....what's different?
theres no "purple arrows" on mahomes card because this hasnt been put into effect yet. Wait until friday, im sure they will be the same way we do power ups now.
If you read the post you'd know I said that it seems the powers ups would be completed via a set. No purple arrows. Since when do you complete a set and are then able to undo the set?
The way I understand it is that the Mahomes card will be powered up in an unconventional way. Meaning... he will be powered up in a manner that is very different than how current cards are powered up. It looks to be in a manner where he is added to a set and, therefore, can't be refunded. So once powering him up, you can't power him down. Not that big of a deal except that if this is true, it completely ruins the prospect of other players we thought or hoped would get power ups on Friday. For example, no Lesean Mccoy, Allen Robinson, or Chandler Jones power ups because these players do not have multiple cards (they each have one card, except for Shady's 87 OVR which is not accessible to everyone so would not count for the set). If they were to release 68 Power Up cards instead, then it'd be a different story. So it looks like there is a lot of room for disappointment here.
So basically any new player that is able to be powered up come Friday will NOT have a purple arrow on the top left corner of the card. Oh well...
