Defensive Awareness In Madden 19?

I’ve noticed this as well! They’ always told us Awareness was only for Offense but i agree, seems to make a difference on defense this year! I can tell with the TOTW Micah Hyde!

It makes a huge difference. I had powered up Sean Taylor, and he played absolutely terribly. Never jumped routes, just stared at the ball, always seemed out of position. Made the upgrade to powered up TD ET3, and WOW the routes he jumps are just incredible, highly recommend even tho he's pricey.
There’s obviously a reason that if u search thru the database a lot of guys stop at 89 awareness and not many hit 90+. I’m debating trying MCourty atFS instead of ET3 and see how he plays. Same height, bit better jump just lacks big hitter. Always played good yrs past but like i said, i really want someone to equip Tip Drill

Yep, boosted Slay too and he’s a monster. Gets so many animations. I thought about Collins cause i have him as backup for Big Nickel at 83ovr but was iffy about his sub 90zone. I have 87 Amos at 90zone but only way to get his awareness 90+ is with TD and that’d be too many coin.

My et3 is 89 (cause I ain’t spending for the TD) 94 playrec 93 zone and 91 awareness and if it’s between him and one other dude...other dude takes it all day especially on jump balls. Guess i got a broke one lol
yeah, i noticed a difference. Slay would just be a hair away from making a play on the ball before I powered him up to 90, now he'd a pick machine. Same thing with Landon Collins, not the greatest zone in the world but is always around the ball
Anyone else notice a difference in their guys with 90+ awareness and guys below 90? Seems as if awareness has taken the place of PlayRec this yr on breaks on the ball. I know it’s been “confirmed” on MUTLeaks but just wondering who, besides myself has seen a difference.

I was gonna juice Sean T to 91 but even then he only has 88 awareness. I’m just tired of ET3 getting snagged on in traffic constantly despite his high awareness and zone along with catch and i want Tip Drill on my safeties but not many options that ain’t 300k and up
