I think the biggest difference is that zones have gotten a lot better than previous years .I think the game is less fun, but probably more realistic

Rarely anymore. Usually I could out scheme someone, but now all it takes is 2 unstoppable plays and it's over. I can't move the ball or score like I could in years past. My D usually holds for 2-3 quarters, then the opponents line starts opening huge holes, their receivers get open at will and even if I play it perfectly, they just break 4 tackles and run down the field and score.
I was down 10-7 moving the ball well, about to score a TD from the 6, when somehow the guy's D tackle who he isn't usering intercepts a pass (despite not dropping into coverage) then somehow out runs my whole team to score. This game's just a money grab now..
I didn't play Madden last year, so maybe that's when it started, but in days past I could at least compete with stacked teams with a 90 OVR. In WL all I run into is God squads who really have no scheme, their cards simple outplay mine. I get it, EA wants to encourage people to spend hundreds of dollars on packs, but damn.. This game just isn't fun anymore
