Diamond set question

do You get the cards back like some of the sets did last year or are they gone? Trying to decide if I need to buy another Amos or un power up the one I got to 85 already..... definitely messed up by powering him up already

You don't get any cards back. If you want to power up Amos, then you'll need to buy another one to power him up with the diamond version.

One for the set, one to power up.
