Pros/Cons of having a good kicker?

Besides the obvious of kicking longer field goals, is there a legit reason to own any of the higher end kickers? I've been using the chris boswell since game came out, and he only has like a 79 kick power.  Saw a few 83s and 84s cards have a 88 kick power.  But Ive never spent any coins on a kicker. Do you think its worth it?

Good luck finding a streamer or pro player not playing SC that doesn't have a very good kicker.

Pros : make longer field goals, might increase overall idk tho cons : costs more coins

It's not flashy, but if you tend to play conservative games, taking points, staunch defense, etc, they're totally worth it. Being able to kick 50+ yard FGs or 40+ in heavy wind will win games. The most that I've paid for a card this year (at the AH) was for a kicker because once you get a really good one, you don't need to upgrade much more on it, unlike other positions at this time.

I got a kicker and punter both 85 ovr. Helps boost team ovr..

Prater is the kicker i can't remember the punter name :O

Worth the 30k each imo.

I'm just using 79 Sturgis that I got in the Campaign

I bought Prater for not much. 86 pow 82 acc. I like it

Yeah just basically to bump your teams overall up I'd say, no ones ever really going to be going for 45-50 yard field goals anyway. They are nice when your not receiving the ball though, can boot them right in the corner and make someone mess up good!

Personally I spend on kickers. I love having the KPW and ACC when I need it. Upgrade a little bit every few weeks or so.

i went gold kicker to start then worked my way through  butker, prater and final stop for a while is Bryant. Prater for 30k is great imo regularly hit from over 50 in H2H

Gano is nice.

KPW is the stat you're looking for.  One of my NAT pulls was Greg Zurlein so I haven't needed to bother.  Kicking FGs instead of going for it on 4th is a must for me in solo battles, I swear if I miss it on 4th down the CPU offense comes out with some super ass buff the next series

I play possession football and tend to get in nailbiters in H2H.  So last weekend I paid 52k for Zuerlein.  Well worth it and he should last me all year.

I pulled Jake Elliott (88 Kick Power).  He's excellent.  Hit a 56-yarder in H2H.

Get lutz for like 9k. He has 85 kick power. Low accuracy so the green window is slightly smaller but if youre decent at kicking its not an issue. He hits from like 52-53 without wind

i tell you what... i got the positional hero Kicker in mut18.. it really does change up the game since ... with his ridiculous leg, you could boot it out from the 42 yard line max haha. comes in handy in h2h more times than you can count. it also gives you a little less to worry about when the game is on the line and you are on the final drive. case in point, if you plan on playing alot of h2h, yes, invest in a good kicker that fits your budget. if you are solo grinder, a gold kicker is all you need.

dont forget that P and K will add to team chem if you run a themed squad.

I agree with you - expensive kickers aren’t worth it right now. Focused Kickers are worth it tho

Not particularly at this time. I use Bos for the Steelers chem right now. I won’t upgrade him for a while because he can hit 50-55 yarders depending on the wind. I may only upgrade him if he specifically gets a new card soon. I felt he was robbed of an upgrade last year but I’m also a little biased as a Steelers fan lol.

oh cool. gano is a good one. i was trying to find a kicker with focused kicker on it. i lucked out big time last years game and pulled a vinatieri and that was a god send since i have the worst lag when playing h2hs. i dont see any in this game though. or maybe i am missing something

Streetz101

Not at all. People just spend coins on higher rated kickers to improve their team's overall. I've been rocking Gano and his 87 kick power is well worth the 15k I spent
