I'd much prefer this versus the opposite. It takes more skill to avoid mistakes and get a low-scoring W than to be in M16 Aggressive catch shootout where the last team to have the ball pretty much wins.
madden 18 was the year of the defense. 91 zones, hit stick fumbles, pick sixes.
I have a 99 defense, and my buddy has 98 offense in squads. He doesn't have to much trouble scoring the majority of the time when/if it's needed. Tho people have a lot of trouble scoring against us. I guess it comes down to skill? We're in all madden first string, so there's time it's 30+ shootouts, and other times it's in the teens. Very rarely do we not score at least a touchdown or two tho.
Well defense wins games. I know the first thing I did was beefed up my defense before anything else, so this doesn't surprise me.
Lol, I have experience some similarity to this. Was in a freaking dog fight this morning and was leading 3-0 into the 4th. He scored then I put together a key drive and went up 10-7. Then 2 tO’s for points. Ended 24-7, but it was a battle
So, I'm up to a 97 Defense, as are most if the teams I face. More and more, games are becoming where it's impossible to move the ball. Entire games going 6-3, due to FGs off turnovers.
Is it just me?
