Must Choose From Suggested Plays *Thought*
OP, go play through Longshot then come back and see if you still like that idea lol. I hate to be locked into just a few play options, takes away the strategy of the game.

Exactly. All of their "pro" players do not know how to call more than 5 plays on offense and defense combined.
Not a huge fan because I don't think it solves the "issue" of people spamming plays. The offense has a strategy pick, which is usually a specific play on 1st down, 2nd down, and 3rd down, and it's the same every drive, because it assumes that the defense is calling the same play in that situation. The community pick is the same case, it changes on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and then the frequent play is almost always the same, even if you only called the play 20 times total.
Even if it worked, I can just audible to many different plays or formations, as long as I have the right players on the field.
Defense, you'll be stuck with either man coverage with a zone in the middle, or a man blitz, and both of these plays are very situational, especially considering man coverage hardly works, and even then, once I choose the play, I have the option to change to different formations or audible to man, a blitz, cover 2 or 3.
It could be a fun idea, but I just don't see how it can ever accomplish what it's trying to do.
That would be a neat idea/mode if the Ask Madden had some better selections. I see some of the stuff the CPU calls in solos and it's pretty wonky.

I like this idea because I call plays from the suggested section most of the time.
It would also be fun to have challenges were you don't get to call the plays and you just have to execute the plays that the coach gives you.
Reading another thread i had this though...what if? What if u could only choose from the suggested plays on both offense and defense? I think it’d make h2h more interesting, definitely would have to put more thought into adjustments instead of ppl spamming the same plays over n over. I’d be up for the challenge. What say ye mutheaders?
