I'm in your boat as a Texans fan. I managed enough Squads tokens that I made the Tier 3 O'brien, but I don't see myself investing past that. I run Hopkins, Watson and Clowney, and that's about it, and it only boosts Hopkins at this point

Sure it's optional, but there isn't an option for coaches stadiums and uniforms other than Team Chemistry, and forces you to either use players you might not otherwise choose just so they are on that team, or have chemistries that don't benefit most, if any, of the players on your team, or you just have to miss out on chemistries completely for those items. The fact that they are NAT makes it even worse, especially given how much coin you have to sink into the sets. I don't see why it couldn't have just been how it was in M17.

Same with me and the Broncos. Pretty much an instant +1 or 2 overall to all of the Broncos players I have and like. Plus I get to wear real uniforms instead of the glow in the dark ZC monstrosities. I’ve got Shannon Sharpe up to 97, Harris Jr at 96. Plus you get the play rec/awareness bumps too. What I find funny about what you quoted is the very end, say good bye to the +1, when ALL of the power ups are literally just some +1’s across the board. I’m cool with the team training, but the power ups are horrible

Maybe it's in part because I'm a Texans fan and there's never any good Texans cards other than Watt, Hopkins and Clowney (and now Watson), but I can't see any reason to invest in upgrading any uniform, stadium or coach. It's absurdly expensive to do so and I I'm always upgrading my lineup throughout the year based on the best players I have acquired through packs/solos or the best I can afford in the AH. The team they play for is not even a factor to me. Including my backups, I have players from 17 different teams in my lineup, and I maybe reach T1 team chem on one or two at most, and that's usually just coincidence, not intentional. It really annoys me though that I can't get uniforms stadiums or coaches to benefit my team this year because I'm not going to sink hundreds of thousands of coins into NAT cards that might boost 1-2 players on my team this week, but might be totally pointless 2 weeks from now.
Additionally, I remembered that back in April last year, a few EA people did an AMA and I thought they had said they understood the MUT community hated this crap and weren't going to do this in M18.
