Safetys as Corners
Do you want to do this in order to stop stretch?
Why would having safeties at CB be superior to say NTL, Byron Jones, Blount, Sanders, Woodson? Genuinely asking because this sounds intriguing for someone who has too many safeties
Higher tackle, str, blockshed so their better against the run and stopping larger guys. They also have higher Hit power usually which is always good.
I sub my safeties at cb when I run cover 2 because they have enforcer so when ppl dump to the flats they get lit 🔥 up
I think it works well especially if you can get their speed up. NtL is fine but I ran Fitz opposite him for a long time. Ith abilities they are great. Especially with universal coverage. I have Lott now but haven't needed to utilize him there now that my LB and CBS are better. Obviously if they are pass heavy you need to switch them out.
