Aggressive Catches
Depends on the player you are throwing to.
I rarely get it with Moss or Holt....get it occasionally with GT Julio...and can get it damned near every time with Darren Waller and Dante Hall....not sure why....

If it is one on one...it is best to go for the swat.....I never try to catch an interception when they are just chucking it up to Moss, Calvin, or any other tall receiver.
You have to swerve catch to get into a dominant position. The QBs tend to air the ball out a little too much and it overthrows the receiver. Although in reality you could jump and grab it, if you don't swerve they will get the worst animation. It's in the game.
Here’s what you do! So you go out grab this card named Moss, then you put an X factor called mossed 100... with this you will at least catch one ball a game LOL! I honestly don’t know man sometimes you’ll catch em sometimes you won’t. I found that 50/50 balls usually go to the defender or are dropped I never usually see catches unless ofc mossed 100 lol! Good luck with it!
Yea you arent in a good position. We can talk luck and animations all day but playing a thousand games in squads definitely shows some people have that skill and some don’t.
I threw an out route vs a hard squat yesterday. Dude had position and everything. We both click on I cut in front face catch him, spin and house it.

not worth it this year, as thew other guy said, the ball will bounce and get intercepted 20 yards away the best seems to be RAC catch and possession so they dive

Perhaps aggressive “catch” is the wrong term to use. It’s More of an aggressive “try” which usually fails with the ball being intercepted or bouncing off the receivers hands like a rubber super ball.
Completely the same for me, I’m clearly doing something wrong, thought maybe it was a timing issue...
Click on early, position inside, spam Y. If you practice a bit, you'll get it.
Am I doing something wrong to not even trigger an animation when going for an aggressive catch? 75% of the time if I throw up a 1-on-1 ball my guy doesn’t even go for the ball and just goes for the pass deflections while the defender picks it off. If there anything I can do to trigger the animation of catching it so at least he has a chance or at least it just gets knocked down? Super frustrating...I know this is a known thing but feel like it’s happening to me way too often.
