Here is all the info we have atm.

Pretty sure the last time they did something like this Antonio brown had a NAT 87 they gave
No they didn’t. They gave the full 89 Antonio Brown that year NAT. But it was his actual elite card.
That last part of your statement was the message I was trying to get across. Thanks for the overall correction
If anyone gets an update on this please post here. Told myself to not get Madden this year but I’m getting the itch like I always do around this time of year. I probably shouldn’t break the tradition, ive been buying this game every year for longer then some of you have been alive...I might go MVP Edition if that Lamar is his base elite (which I still doubt) and then do no money spent other than level packs. Not going crazy this year or trying to keep up with the best cards every week, to stressful lol... plus I’m playing other games this fall.
Exactly what I’m doing. Madden won’t take up most of my time either. Can’t wait for 2k and AC Valhalla. Finally some options for me lol. Solely relying on Madden has become a curse for me. Too much time and energy put into it. Plus not spending a dime in-game unless it’s an amazing deal.
Yep - way to stressful to try and keep up with everything and I’m not doing it this year. I will be a casual MUT player this year and I’m looking forward to it.... I still wish they were a little more clear on this “Elite” Lamar card with the MVP Edition.
We are hoping it's his base elite since they are giving us his power up as well
must be his regular card... anything other would be an absolute joke
Given it’s EA, expect the worst possible scenario for the user.
So you’ll get the PU, some low Elite Lamar that goes into the power up path that others can just bypass with training or a PUP.
Of course, no one knows exactly what it will be because EA can’t properly communicate anything.

Jaybird - you are probably right and I wish EA would say what the heck the card is so I can make up my mind...But I’m sure it’s some low Elite “MVP” edition card and you can bypass it with training.
I believe so. Since it does go into the Power up you’ll have a nice head start on the Lamar card, but I’m guessing the Elite card will be at max an 85 card (86) with Powerup until you add his 88 Core Elite cars to bump him even higher. I’m guessing you’ll be able to bypass the MVP edition card with training since it’ll be limited edition.
I doubt you can bypass with training, you’ll just need the regular core instant of the nat they are giving out
Doubt that he gets another 88 elite after getting the 85 elite. His next card will be a promo card
I was thinking that too. Only reason I was considering he’d get an 88 elite card is... reigning MVP coming off great season, and only being at a 88. I had though possibly last year Mahomes’ core Elite card was 88 overall, and his promo card for preorder was 85 as well. However, I know Mahomes’ preorder card wasn’t Powerup eligible.
That’s what I was worried about - so most likely not his actual Elite card. Something lower that you can bypass with training if you don’t have the MVP Edition.
Does anyone know what the Lamar Jackson card is with the MVP Edition? Is it the regular Elite card like the NAT Antonio Brown we got a couple years ago or is it some crap low Elite and not his regular card?
