I for one (and probably in the minority) would love to see Muthead follow EA's goal of Madden becoming a more positive community gaming experience.
Has anyone ever noticed how vacant the 'Gameplay Strategy' section is designed to actually help us all get better at the game vs. the typical bitch and moan threads? So much of social media, especially facebook has become negative or divisive.... hasn't this year sucked enough to spread more negativity? Do the negative threads actually change anything?
Most of us regs on this forum and fellow vets of the game should understand by now the following:
This is a video game, and is not designed to be and never will be true simulation football. It is meant to entertain.
Players play to win. Not everything they do is "CHEESE", just learn to accept people do not like to lose and they do what it takes to win. If a player is having success with a certain play, guess what....... they will probably keep running that same play. There is a META every year, people will seek out information to know what that meta is and most likely try to use that.
This video game, like almost every video game uses a random number generator to deliver different outcomes. Sometimes those outcomes will suck for you. There may very well be mechanics that differentiate the likelihood of outcomes, and no one truly knows how much if at all this applies to head to head online football, but most agree there is some tweaking designed to keep lesser skilled players engaged with the game in some aspect. It is what it is.
There is some degree of pay to win involved in Madden depending on your game mode of choice. You will have to accept it for what it is, and opt to play modes not designed to require as much pay, or have patience and grind your team to closely the same level. You do not have to pay to win at this game, but in Ultimate Team it will probably take you longer to more evenly match with other teams.
With that said, if you find yourself creating a post related to any of the four things above, I ask yourself to rethink if you are truly seeking information or just emotional at the time because of a hard loss(es.) Is your post really bringing anything seeking positive information or positive results? I'd love to see MODs more aggressively push posts designed to just spread general negativity to the EA feedback forum, I think many accept that section for what it is, a place for complaining about the four topics above.
If you find yourself wanting to call me an 'EA employee' or shill, I certainly am not, I am more someone who is encouraging you to NOT buy the game, cancel that pre-order while you still can, there is certainly enough evidence out there from those that played thus far to confirm not much has changed, so why play a game that upsets you so much?
It is certainly prudent to complain or post about glitches in the gameplay. It is good to know if there is an auction house glitch for example, or pause glitch abuses, solos not properly recording, etc. The menu speed in team design and item binder for example is a flaw worth pointing out. These are helpful, they warn others, and maybe do help spread the word to the developers something needs to be fixed quickly. Otherwise, let's just try to enjoy the game for what it is and let's have some fun!
