If they wanted to change it up I feel like this is how they should of done it.
Kept the same general idea.
Past Heros for O and D, one current player Hero and one current player LTD.
Still give the top overall cards (Mack, Russ, McCaffrey, Mack) the plus 1 overall to there power up as there isn’t a point to giving these guys a plus 2 overall hero card. Even giving guys that have an 84 overall power up a plus 1 boost is fine.
BUT
The 82/86 overall cards should have been for either low core elites (in the case of an 80/81 getting a boost to 86 overall) or for gold/silver cards (coulda gotten bumped to 82’s or 86’s).
I get that they wanted to treat these 82/86 overall cards as “collectables” but they could have easily been treated the same way no matter who got the card.
For example:
Instead of getting an 86 mack, Russ, ect we could have gotten an 82 or 86 overall Jerome Baker when he went off against the pats (only has a 72 overall card), or Josh Allen (still a gold card) as he’s another one deserving a boost.
This could have been a great TOTW change but they really dropped the ball on these 82/86 overall “collectable” cards.
Not sure why they decided to make these 82/86 cards useless other than for collections. Big missed opportunity in my opinion.

Anyone agree?
