Anyone crazy like me and thinking of completing Barry on my Farm Accounts?
Thanks all for the input. Yeah I did NTL on all five accounts last year. Kept it on my main... sold for a million profit on each farm. But it was a ton of work. Barry would probably be like 600 k profit on each farm I'm guessing.
Yeah, I haven't looked at prices recently. As I said before, I was too meticulous about prices as I was sniping and watching Netflix.
When I completed the set 1-2 weeks after release, my breakdown was basically:
- 5 sets with 80-150k profit (Patriots, Falcons, etc.)
- 27 sets with no gain/loss
- 5 sets averaging 50k-75k loss (Chiefs because of Tyrann and others)
Ultimately, selling everything, it was a net gain of ~1.2m. You're probably right about it being 600k but that's hours and hours.
Jesus, the time investment it would take... I completed the set once. I'm too meticulous to do it again, nor would I want to take the time.
Not really worth it when you can make more in the AH with that time.
I mean, im sure its worth it, but thats a no for me. I did it day 2 of the game being released and never plan on it again. Primarily because I dont need the coin that bad.
I didnt do the NTL set more than once either. Cant put myself in that much pain. Already do it with leveling up farms, top 100 solo battles, etc.
I assume the ppl down voting the OP are against secondary accounts. I disagree that secondary accounts are an advantage. I have several, and looking back with hindsight I cringe to think how many Diamond Samuels, A. Thomas, Blys, Vincent's etc I could have done. Those sets are repeatable and have been profitable from the start. Doing Barry involves some heavy losses on many teams. IMO if you use one account properly you can keep up with others on multiple accounts and vice versa.
I've been itching to it LOL glad I'm not the only one! Not sure if I should snipe everything, or use packs to start, then snipe once I begin getting too many duplicates. I too wonder how much coin is needed to start. I'm thinking rip GAP packs until each set needs a few golds and all the elites. Then buy as many elites as I can afford to complete each diamond...
My suggestion - as I've done 3 Barry's
GAGP (gives you the best chance to hit big - making alot of the golds you pull free. Buy 250k at a time and open all at once and keep track - it's worth it)
Exchange the 70-74's you dont need for 75-79's. Once you get 2/3 of the way done with the golds - just start going in there every few hours and see what golds you can grab for cheap (under 1500 for 70-74 and under 3k for 75-79)
This is if you're bored playing the game i.e. playing 3 guys in a row who don't throw a pass
I like the suggestion, I wonder when was the last time you did this? Like 3 weeks ago those GAG packs would give you elites worth min 15k. Now many elites and top golds are worth half, yet the the GAG pack cost has stayed the same 5k. Makes me think maybe GAP packs would work better. Or perhaps not, considering the boosted odds of GAG packs.
Is doing it 5 times insane? I guess I have too much free time in the pandemic world.
Do you mind sharing, what do you think the profit would be currently with low diamond prices and a lower Barry? Thx
I thought about it but its crazy risky at the moment. EA is very annoying with this ban wave
You shouldn’t have a farm account. You’re cheating and broadcasting that isn’t the smartest thing to do.
That's your opinion it's cheating. If someone puts the time into grinding on multiple accounts then it's not cheating.
And besides, these aren't really farm accounts... I have one account for each of my four kids and of course it's them doing the grind. =)
I made farm accounts when the game came out to level grind to 50. Didn't transfer any coins at the time and each account was banned for "Farming"
There's literally zero chance of getting banned for playing the game on multiple accounts. That's why multiple accounts are allowed. Like I said... I have four kids who play the game along with me. Show me anything in the TOS that says that's not allowed.
On the contrary, my Alt was banned. I never mover coins or cards. Still don't know what triggered the ban.
I'm not disagreeing with you. Just stating I got banned at the beginning of the year.

I finished him this weekend. Probably had 10 hours in just watching the AH, buying cards and putting cards in sets. It cost me about 1.6 to make him while still holding on to alot of the TD set rewards including the big ones like Finley, Evans, Smith, Vincent, Bly, Samuel, Hall, etc. Hoping for prices to get a little bump which some have already come up. I might actually profit on the set while keeping a couple of the TDs and Barry. You could probably get by with 600k if you are flipping those TDs for lowest price, problem is that it cuts into your profit margin. Some of those sets are still clear loses even with elites being cheap and getting golds at a decent price. If you got time on your hands go for it but I need a break from sets for a while.

Completed the last one this weekend when EVERY core elite 83+ was pennies on the dollar
Got 6+ million over 3 accounts and have 2 Barry's still - worth it if you're bored during market crashes. Just keep the TD's until they go back up mid-week
Yeah... I'd only buy the higher set cards on day people are ripping tons of packs... so Thursday or Saturday for sure. But how much capital do you need to get started where it is self sustainable on a single account? Probably more like 1 million?
A million if you have an empty binder. Can do alot of the exchange sets and hope golds come out that you need.
Past 2 years, I spend $500 on launch day - sell EVERYTHING while it's really high and coast through the rest of the year NMS
Crazy plan, but I bet it works and makes the rest of the year stress free. How many coins do you accumulate at the beginning? Also, what packs are you buying at launch? Any luck this year?
Launch this year had EVERY pack available (obviously no promo packs). The All Pro fantasy packs at launch were 15k coins and came out with an elite 2 out of 3 packs. LOTS of platinum cards are in packs at launch as well (got a Mack and Russ platinum on night 1). Golds for the teams with strong TD's were going for 8-9k - some as high as 18k. I accumulated 1.5 million last year bc prices were shit from the start. But this year, everything was high up until the Series 2 change over.
Im bored so im thinking of completing it plus i really want him. So im curious is 650k enough
If you've done this already... (you're more insane than me)... how many coins do you recommend to get you started? I've got about 600k on each.
