Gutfoxx did a vid on this you can lookup. "Threshold" is the wrong word for this, even though everyone uses it. A better term would be "peak efficiency". Higher ratings increase the chances of something happening. (Higher the hit power on a defender, the better odds of forcing a fumble. Higher spectacular catch rating, better odds of getting those animations etc.)

So let me get this straight. Any rating over the threshold number doesnt make your player play any better? So a 90 short or deep route running rating is the exact same as a 95 or even 99? Or a 89 rating is the same as a 80 or 85? I would really,really hope not considering we all pretty much pay for the ratings on players. We know speed increases by each number and i think every rating should be like that a small increase as the rating goes up higher. I wish they would revamp their rating system and be more transparent with how the ratings work.
