Ea has to specify rules if there banning accounts

So I’ve noticed that some people are getting banned for trading and I wondered.....

is there anywhere in this game where you log on that specifies the rules for trades ? If they’re going to market this game to kids as well as adults then they should realize they need to put rules to be seen somewhere because kids ...well are kids and they don’t see anywhere telling them that they cant trade (example) a Odell Beckham card for a gold card and for ea not to specify somewhere the rules with trades ,coins , and farm accounts is not right and needs to be explained. I’m sorry this is totally handled unprofessionally.

you put out an unfinished product that people went out and did their half and brought your product and then you go and then ban them without any explanation in your game what the rules are. Not right at all.

NNickell

That is very poor customer service.

I would go to the EA MUT forum there is a mod (@blueberry) who is incredibly helpful as long as you’re being super nice. Being hostile won’t help your cause. I’m just trying to help you out with what I know..

Dreverse

NMS players are now getting banned .

FLBulldog

Public Service Announcement.....you all clicked to accept the EA User Services Agreement and code of conduct when you loaded up the game for the first time and when you created an EA account. You may not have read those, but you clicked something saying that you read and agreed to them.

Dreverse

Again they are not displaying the rules so how can everyone know what’s allowed and not

volcanic163

But if the ToS aren't legal, then the agreement is null and void.

chodge8787

You are in for a rude awakening if this is what you think.

volcanic163

Uh, no? Did you scroll down?

PK67

Do as I say. Not as I do

Or in Madden's case, allow guru to give inside info to his gamechanger buddies until they got caught.

Biggamerben86

I'd agree with that.

H3rbtrees

Lmao i remember my first beer

Gotitans3

I wonder what legality their TOS really has. Like if a huge lawsuit really pushed them would the TOS really hold up. Like agree to this agreement after you purchased our non refundable game that has a clause in it about what you can do with stuff that you’re more than likely spending real money on. It’d be an interesting case to watch for sure.

I honestly don't think it would hold up. It's so nebulous and non-specific. I once got into a dispute with a former employer and had to contact the DOL, which I where I learned if you agree to a contract that is essentially illegal in the first place, then the agreement is never enforceable in the first place. I think back to that a lot every time I hear about these bans. I'm pretty sure any lawyer worth their salt would destroy EA in a lawsuit over this... it's just a matter of getting it to that point. Somebody has to check EA on this stuff bc it is getting out of hand.

Here you go. My ban Email:

Information related to your EA account.

EA

Hello,

We noticed that your EA Account broke EA’s gameplay rules.

BECAUSE YOUR ACCOUNT WAS INVOLVED IN COIN DISTRIBUTION (SENDING), WE’VE REMOVED ALL COINS FROM YOUR ACCOUNT AND PERMANENTLY BANNED YOUR ACCESS TO THE AUCTION HOUSE AND TRADE BLOCK.HERE'S WHY:You can earn Coins by playing MUT and buying and selling Items in the Auction House, but buying Coins from a third-party is against our rules.

If you use any sort of Auction House bots or disconnection methods in-game so you can earn Coins fast and illegitimately, that’s breaking the rules, too.

We all want to help a friend out, but sending them Coins isn’t the way to do it. Sending Coins to your friends is a form of Coin distribution, which breaks our rules.

Giveaways are another form of Coin distribution. For example, a player or site offers you Coins in exchange for subscribing. Don’t do it!

Having multiple accounts is all good. Having multiple accounts and funneling Coins and items to your main account isn’t.

Sending Coins to any other account in these ways is against the rules.YOUR ACCOUNT WILL PERMANENTLY NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE AUCTION HOUSE OR TRADE BLOCK AND WE’VE REMOVED ALL COINS FROM YOUR ACCOUNT.EA'S RULES:Breaking our rules damages the experience for you and other players. We want to keep everyone’s gaming experience fun, safe, and secure.

You break our rules if you: • buy Coins • farm Coins • distribute or sell Coins • promote Coin buying and selling • promote, encourage, or take part in any prohibited activity described in section 6 of our User Agreement.• Play by the EA rules https://help.ea.com/help/faq/play-by-the-ea-rules/• Our User Agreement, which is what you agree to when you make an EA Account https://www.ea.com/terms-of-service• Rules of Conduct https://www.ea.com/terms-of-service#section6

been farming since before farming was a thing. never been banned. im either immune, or theres a bunch of liars up in here. you might have got the ban hammer but it didnt have anything to do with coins. DC perhaps?

nicksr84

That's what I'm saying

okudahmatata

I haven't played H2H all year. A few draft games and squads. The EA help advisor stated it was for the Auction house. Would not go into further detail.

Dreverse

So why hasn’t any of the YouTubers not been banned like scomo , zirskee , guttfoxx , Toke etc.this guy got a message from EA saying “ promote coin buying “ so there you go . The proof is there in there videos.

okudahmatata

Yup. Thing is it says nothing of trades. Just mentions coins 17 times and capitalized it every time. But I never sent or received coins so I dunno. The EA help advisor stated my ban was for using the Auction.

txgunslinger8

It mentions trades by saying funneling coins and items to main account. All the Youtubers should be banned as it’s listed right there. Don’t know how some can be enforced and others ignored.

Copperheads

This has never been issue for me cause I don’t farm, but I have given free cards to family before just to be nice late last gen. Nothing crazy and they use them in much weaker lineups than mine, so obviously there’s no gain to me with a silver coming back. I hope I wouldn’t get banned for doing that this year.

ProSlot

The reality is they don't. Its their game they are the gods here. We are just their subjects.

txgunslinger8

Well TOS says they will ban for promoting coin selling sites but we all know that’s not the case.

jaybird13

This message brought to you courtesy of ROCK BOTTOM COINS!

What is sad is the middle man doesn’t get banned nor do the YouTubers shilling the middlemen. Just the buyers and sellers.

Dreverse

It’s crazy

okudahmatata

They linked me to the TOS when I asked why I was banned. The vagueness of the TOS allows them to ban first and ask questions later(or completely ignore in my case).

hom3y

Yup, it's like some jobs...

You get written up for being late.

Ok, well what's late?

Idk... we'll decide when we figure out whether we like you or not.

jaybird13

Pretty much sums it up. What pisses me off is getting the death penalty on my first “offense”. They need to specifically state what it is you did wrong and give a 7 day ban for the first offense.

okudahmatata

I got perma banned for using the AH on companion. I just had it reversed today. After almost 3 weeks and hours on EA Help chat.

boxcar31

EA can do whatever they want because a bunch of addicts spend on packs every year and push their profit margins through the roof, until someone steps in, or until they have competition they are clearly going to run roughshod over their customers. I can't think of a comparable example where a legitimate business takes it's customers for granted like this and doesn't care, and still is successful in spite of itself......

WinterSkoldier

I believe they refer to it as their TOS...

clang36

You'd think there would be but idk I don't remember the TOS agreement

GenoPolanco

I pulled a 83 Bo Jackson a couple weeks ago and hardly anyone was selling that specific card. Ended up getting 30-40k what it would usually sell for. Instead of being stoked on the luck, I thought how much it’s going to suck if I get banned for something like that. Don’t make a profit anywhere except buying packs!

crowndskull

It’s sad that we have to worry about pulling rare cards and selling them like this. If they want to ban “price gouging” by the sound of it, they they need to specify
