Best TE in your opinion?
I have been using cook for weeks now and Blake jarwin on my them Cowboys is pretty beast to great blocker as well
Waller is awesome the best imo 2 Graham 3 kelce (should get a plus 1) tony g is just missing something and Vernon and sharp are too sharp do either get secondary position FB
Waller (92 speed) Sharpe (91 Speed) both meet short and medium route running thresholds and both have single handily won me games especially with tight out on my McNair. I love 2 and 3 TE singleback sets.
It’s Waller and it’s not even close. He gets open alll day long with that speed and not being pressed. Gates is a great balanced card, but I have Kittle if I really feel the need to run.
Gates has been a beast for me. Catches everything thrown his way and has decent speed to go along with it. Totally recommend
Took Gates as my free 50 player and he’s been great. 94 overall with 86 speed, 98 catch, 95 short route, 94 medium route, 92 catch in traffic and 92 spec catch
I've only played with Gonzalez and Kelce for my Chiefs TT, and the gonzalez is a monster, believe he is a 93 with 45/50 Chiefs and max PlayFake.
I just got Gates for 175K. He hits the SRR & MRR thresholds without having to be powered up and he’ll have 86 Speed for me. That’s plenty until I hit Level 70 and I can use the 91-92 PU Pass on Waller.
Depends on chems, PU fully Gates is a 95 or 96 on my 45/50 Chargers TT and seems to hold on to balls in coverage others weren't.
I read all the comments cus I was interested. I love my Shannon Sharpe. I also have Kittle. Kittle will make the clutch catches and plays great with no abilities and is a mauler in the run game. Sharpe is just a WR and basically becomes my entire offense every game with like 200 yards. Surprised So few picked Shannon... maybe I’m doing it wrong
Sharp has been amazing. I have used Davis, Graham etc. Sharp is just so good in so many facets of the game
See I thought so too. He plays absolutely amazing. However I do think it’s a good idea to pair him with Kittle for run blocking
Agreed and that is the combo I have as well. I would have to say thought that the 83 Fant is a fun damn card and on a TT he rocks
Waller. Used my 92 pass on him since his redux is hovering around 600k still. Used gates since I pulled him in a 50 bundle. He catches everything but 85 speed hinders him too much on my squad
Waller is probably the top one. People will say Gates because he’s a 93, but overall doesn’t necessarily mean best.
Only thing Waller has on Gates is 3 speed and 1 srr. Gates better at everything else. I run alot so Gates is way better at rbk. Its close but Waller does hit that SRR and MRR with gates so its basically just the speed which can be a deal breaker to some.
I do have Gates too though, and I love him as a Chargers fan. He’ll be one of my 3 TE’s all year. I usually don’t look to burn people with my tight ends. I usually look to make a good possession catch in a tight pinch. Gates is perfect for that.
Best te is gates. But finley is still up there and he’s much cheaper than the rest
Seems I’m the only one, but the Gates card is just unreal for me. Decent blocker, great route runner, and he catches everything. Not powered up. No abilities. Picked him up for 190k or something silly.
Yeah people are sleeping on Gates and possibly for good reason, alot of good tight ends. I would say If your offense is centered around throwing to your tight end you might prefer Waller due to the speed difference but with that said Gates can be your featured weapon at times and still be effective in the run game. Honorable mention to Davis and Sharpe.
Also price matters. Waller isn't twice as good at Gates regardless of how you rank them.
Agreed. I have Scary terry and Carmichael to pressure vertically. Gates is just killer on short and medium routes and is always open.
Exactly. I find most tight ends can do the job when we talk about the top six or seven but Gates seems to be open all the time and because of his super high catch he comes down with it. He's been so good I'm also considering getting his power up If I can get one for 150K. Plus three speed (40/40 sprinter) and 90 route running I think puts him at least second IMO. He's reliable, his route running gets him open even without abilities, good run blocker and I find he animates for contested catches wither low or high which some cards don't do.
I have Waller chemed up to 91 and he balls out. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy his Redux eventually since I'll use my 91-92 PU Pass on McCourty.
