PSA for those of you trying to upgrade to next gen consoles
The consoles have issues, especially the PS5. It's still early, so the percentage of consoles with issues could climb. The thing with PS5 is that most of it's issues seem heat-related. So percentage of "defects" can rise over time. And those PS5's that are still working as intended may just be working well because of cold weather (and therefore lower ambient temps indoors). With PS5, the issues are centered around the GPU and RAM.
But none of this should be new. This happens with every new console generation, which is why I always preach to wait for the first hardware refresh. These refreshes tend to occur with the console's for limited edition release. Though I suspect Sony may release a refresh before that time. If you only play Madden, I am not sure that next-gen Madden looks to warrant upgrading right now.
Lastly, you may be very disappointed with the storage space you get on either console.
