Am I the only person that doesn't play meta?

I run coach suggestions on O. Tried multiple defenses in WL and all were getting burnt by the crosser or DK shot.

Mills and mosely (now raylewis) sub sometimes clark for ravens tt

Idk if this can even be called a “meta”. We do it because linebackers are broken. I’ve got a 49ers TT I’d love to use Willis, he was a beast last year

I don't watch video or anything to find the best formations etc. That said I do run a lot of man coverage & have always ran about 60% or so man coverage regardless what year of Madden I was playing. Its mainly to see how they plan to adjust to it then I mix in the zones during plays when they expect man etc. Come out in 3-4 a fair amount of the time esp vs heavy packages etc.

I have always had more fun developing my own scheme than running a copy / paste version. On offense I really have yet to encounter anyone running the same offense as I use 7-8 different formations and generally switch between those quite a bit presnap in audibles as well.

They wanna put their safeties at MLB. Good luck stopping the run jesus christ. Madden is madden , and realistically safeties are a hybrid of good tacklers and coverage guys. HOWEVER in madden its one or the other. Put your safety in the box and watch him get trucked every single time

i play LBs too (97 mills and 93 p willie). if someone is throwing it everydown I might sub a SS in there who can still hit (Adams) but the idea of putting 8 DB on the field just isn't entertaining to me.

Its a meta in everything in every game. Yall acting like this is a theory or something 😂😭. From abilities to play style a meta does exist so for those of you acting like it dont you know better than that.

pretty much any defense that someone uses will be called a meta by people who lose to it, I mean of course people are going to use the most effective formations for current madden. if you didn't use the ones you named you could use tampa 2 or cover 4 drop and those would easily fit right into the meta theory as well? there are only so many combo's in the game? cover2 cover3 cover 4 man? what else you want people to run? that's how football works.

Question: Whats NOT meta? Because people tend to call any formation or scheme "meta" that they can't beat. Trips is meta Bunch offset is meta Strong Close is meta Man coverage in general is meta Big Nickel is meta

I run my own meta. Its just not that effective.

Maybe if the eagles had good linebackers. I run nickel normal with all Dbs.
