Definitely shouldn't always go to straight to the defender. Defender shouldn't catch it every time either. Plenty of bobbles by defenders not ready for a ball coming their way on real Sunday games.
I think it works pretty much how it should work. Sometimes taking the sack is the better option than trying to force a throw and IMO the game is better when that's reflected through throws out of sack
The problem is if you get hit mid animation. If you try to force it while getting hit then what happens make since
I would say that if you're throwing late enough that you can get hit in the middle of the throw animation then you're throwing too late
I hope they rework it, I thought it would be cool but now I wish I just got sacked
Yeah it’s ridiculous. Funny how sometimes my 97 gannon throws a pick out of sack and then my opponent can throw a dot with lamar out of a sack for a Td😂
I don’t have an issue if it was slightly reworked. However, my experience has shown throw out of sack has a 50/50 or worst case 60/40 benefit to the defense (pick or deflection). What is sounds like you’re suggesting (correct me if I’m wrong) is for the offense to be guaranteed to throw the ball safely away. If that’s the case, that is only a benefit to the offense and doesn’t make sense to me. That’s not how throwing out of a sack works irl, so it shouldn’t work that way in madden if EA keeps this animation.
Yeah there's some weird coding happening with that. I threw out of a sack last night and luckily one of my guys grabbed it, but the he took 3 steps, got hit and the ball popped up right to the nearest defender. It was ruled an interception not a fumble. Weird.

What throw out of sack should be, is when you're getting sacked you can press a button and it throws the ball to the ground, it should not do what it does now and throw it to the nearest DB/LB.
