I never understood why the community would complain about cards in MUT not having high speed.

Welcome to end game boys. We are approaching the point where all cards will get 99 speed without theme teams. I am now starting to see threads complaining about everyone have 99 speed (the irony).

This not only makes every card feel the same (so you’re just paying for card are now), but theme teams will also be less viable. So +1 for all the theme team haters.

Every card is fast... except some which aren't and are therefore unusable such as reggie white or larry fitz.

They made theme teams too easy to get giving 5 just from the team captain alone. Years past a 50/50 meant in some cases having a good player at a position etc.

My favorite are the people who complain about not getting 99 speed players released, then complain that everyone’s got them 2 days later after a release.

I think speed should be toned down a lot. The problem is when you release a Justin smith card who can get over 90 spd and then release a special Reggie White card that can get what about 85? They’re just to inconsistent.

The issues are:

1) Cards start too fast at the beginning of MUT

2) The entire game is coded and has thresholds set that very little other than speed matters for the vast majority of positions (even to include the defensive line)

3) Stats don't go above 99

4) Without speed increases there's very little interest in new cards from most informed players, especially those with True MUT teams

Fixing either 1) or 2) or 3) would solve the issue. 1) would be easiest, 2) would do the most to make the game more interesting.
