Deflator v Enforcer

Taking edge threat off the line as it’s just not making a difference so gonna have some AP to play with. Seen a few threads saying enforcer is irrelevant and deflator is the way to go. Think I may try it on my LBs. Thoughts on deflator? Does it work best with enforcer also or is deflator all you need? They all have big hitter trait. Thanks in advance

Thank you for always helping me from the day I first joined the company.

Deflator > Enforcer

Just wanted to add: Enforcer + Deflator on Troy P is nice. It's costly at 6 AP, but dude is balling out there. Not sure if I can afford the AP, but for WL, I'm rocking it. I tried just Deflator, but Troy wasn't getting as many hit stick tackles. He'd hit stick 'em and they wouldn't go down. Now they do.

Tried to tell you. Enforcer mixed with big hitter trait is magical

BobsToe

Yep. You were definitely right.

MicahTheGOAT

Glad it's working out for you my man

picle_113

Deflator is much better. Causes more fumbles

Lawrence11

I use both on my user.

Here is my next gen defense: (4-3 base defense (Jags playbook)...I try to keep my LBs on the field more...especially to stop the run on next gen. I only use nickel when the opponent is in shotgun. When in Nickel, I have 3 deflators and on enforcers on the field at all times.) Each of the LBs have the Big Hitter Trait....

SS: Rodney Harrison:X-Factor, Avalanche - Deflator (2Ap)

FS: Steve Atwater: Deflator (2Ap)

ROLB: Jack Ham: Enforcer (1Ap)

LOLB: Ted Hendricks:Enforcer (1Ap)

MLB: Harry Carson: Enforcer (1Ap)

DT: Justin Smith: X-factor, blitz - Inside Stuff (2Ap) (QB spy)

DT: Aaron Donald: I X-factor, blitz - Inside Stuff nside Stuff (2Ap)

RE: Lawrence Taylor: (RE) No outsiders (1ap)

LE: Clowney: No outsiders (1ap)

**I use LBs at Defensive end because they get No outsiders for 1 AP. If I used DEs no outsiders would be more AP.

SUBLB: Taylor Mays: Deflator (2ap)

Are any of you doing this on Next Gen? It feels like they stealth-nerfed it. Also, there's no way to tell if the opponent is fatigued because everything always shows green for them (next gen interface is gar-bo).

Kidtnt27

Yes, I am on next gen for the xbox series x. I pay more attention to the players when they come to the line of scrimmage....you can definitely see them breathing / panting harder after a deflator hit stick.

BobsToe

Thanks. I hadn't even noticed that before.

Petert3

Deflator with a big hitter trait player is pretty good.

Deflator

MicahTheGOAT

Big hitter trait then enforcer + Deflator is the move. If no big hitter, then just Deflator

Mutmoneyman

? I do the other way around with great success. Why would u not put enforcer on someone that doesn’t have big hitter? This game is weird so whatever works keep workin it idk

MicahTheGOAT

i don't put enforcer on people without big hitter

Mutmoneyman

O ok lol sry

BobsToe

For some reason, I thought it was the other way around. If they have big hitter trait AND are 99ovr hit power, then can't they just have deflator?

MicahTheGOAT

Having big hitter kind of "enforces" enforcer for the CPU and causes them to go for big hits more often that not. For a user yes your idea works, but for CPU, I wouldn't.

BobsToe

Thanks. Like I said above, I'm not even sure it's working because of the next gen interface. I usually set tackling to aggressive, and the guys with big hitter trait do the hit stick tackles without Enforcer. What I don't know is if it's as effective as hit-sticking with enforcer. Next gen is very weird because fumbles are few and far between anyway.

MicahTheGOAT

Oh yeah aggressive tackling is a no go. They get juked out their souls lmao
