Use prevent defense and push everyone back. Be in the middle down the field a ways. Usually cpu throws it short and you can run in and make the tackle. Same if they run.
Just put the tackling on aggressive. Any AI hit sticks end up counting as user tackles.
3-4 bear pinch buck 0 or 245 gap mid Blitz --> user one of the outside linebackers (preferably on the side with no RB/TE). The OLB often comes free on pass plays and the sack counts as user tackle.
I got four stars just now by letting it play and going for a coffee. I was having a horrible time with it too. Its as though every time I click circle to change to the nearest player to make a tackle it decides to make me a Safety or a CB on the opposite side of the field. So bizarre.
I got annoyed and went to make a coffee, came back and it was completed with four stars. Double bizarre!! Good luck with it.

Is that one of the 'don't allow X yards'? If so, I just ran zone coverage (Tampa 2) and left my area intentionally open and came in with the clean up tackle.

How in the hell do you get 4 stars? I can't for the life of me get 2 user tackles. For one this, the way this game credits user tackles is beyond wonky. I was using FG block and and user on Sam Mills to get tackles but it registers about 1 out 4 times. If anyone has a nice trick it would be super helpful. This is the only star I'm missing so far.
