This Squad Duos is a mistake
I really don't want to be bothered with Sqauds.... I really don't care much for EA forcing me to do this.... The weekly this year requires squads games... Now the house rules has been moved to squads....I think last year some of the Shazier MutMaster stuff required squads...
I tried this in the past and couldn't play this mode for the reasons mentioned above in other posts... Bad players, no communication, and so on....
I'm sure it could be fun if you got a bunch of friends that you can play with regularly... But getting matched up with randoms.. N then having to win 6 straight....I've yet to hit on any of these house rules modes yet....100% won't even be attempting this one..... These house rules need to be get xx wins in xx attempts not win 6 straight.....Especially when your forcing people to play with randoms....
I love football but EA as a company really leave a lot to desire... Nobody expects EA to just give away stuff all the time... We do get some nice stuff for nothing sometimes... However most of the time you can't help but to notice how the greed just oozes out of ever crack in the wall with EA...
Everything was going alright until you run into the people sitting in 5-2 sending that stupid blitz all game.... impossible to run against and you get 1.6 seconds in the pocket if you're lucky this squads mode is aids my last h2h season I only gave up 1 TD all season even in the play offs (lost in my SB 🤷♂️) but my defense be giving up crazy points in squads it really had my blood boiling idk if a nat lineman is really worth it but imma try again for the trophies
All of the events are not for every MUT player. For example I can't stand playing online H2H. The pausing and the cheesing just gets to me. But I love playing squads and have a solid group of guys who play most nights. This event was for people like us. The last 2 were for people who enjoy the WL.
Yeah, tried it with a couple people on here.
First was very bad, didn't have a mic. I quit in 2nd game because he wasn't listening to me with my mic, and was also just very bad.
Second got to game 6, but my defense had been carrying him the whole time, got a few early quits and 88-90ish OVR teams. He didn't know how to sub players, what a strong toss was, how to man up on D (individually), or run more than one offensive play. Also wouldn't listen when I told him someone was open. He quit down 9-0 last game. We got no first downs. Was also eating dinner during his absolutely awful 1-10 with 2 INT QB performance. Wish he just woulda said he can't run O so I could have, and only had one play he could call.
Last dude we got 6-0 easily, never were even behind. Ran a good O. Didn't realize that if you made someone a blocker in squads you can still throw to them tho, haha.
I played about three games with my buddy and decided it wasn't worth the trouble. It was so laggy that I could barely function. It's not worth the hassle.
What pisses me off is this is the one HR event I was waiting for and they stick it squads. Like F U EA come on really
Just for fun I played a few with randoms last night. It's almost comical the horrible teams guys are bringing to this event. Combine that with their total lack of knowledge in route concepts and you'll be throwing your controller in no time.
Its a nice change from just one vs one. A lot of folks like the duos events in MUT so its nice to see them incorporate that.
That’s why you don’t play with randos and always pick offense. I get this one is a bit tricky bc your teammate defaults to the RB but get creative, sub a RB in as FB and run a FB run play, run jet sweeps, roll with the QB. Just some ideas.
I’ll make one run with you. I just don’t like playing a bunch of games then losing on gm a 5 and starting from scratch. We’re about even. I can run offense if you want.

just wasted about 4 hours of my life on this... I still cant find anyone good for PS4. If theres anyone that can play O... Im willing to give it one more shot
PC player here, I have dealt with similar experiences as well. It is near impossible to get your teammates to work with you if they act the way you mentioned. I can't figure out how to work with people that don't try, but I love when my poor teammate quits and I can play 1v2. I feel like it is easier to control your whole team rather then trust someone else to do well.
Here is advice for being a good teammate:
-If qb, try to throw short or open space passes. Sounds obvious, but short passes are hard to prevent and when dealing with other players, they are just as likely to intercept as your receiver is to catch it. -If you're a defense coach on offense, make sure you actually play the wr/te like a real receiver. Do the routes and try to get open, the pass has more success when it is player to player pass. -While on a rando's team. Make sure you are playing the appropriate position. No one needs to user a Harvest LT! Find the weak positions and try to fill them (unless that means you will be playing dt2 the whole time). On offense you can choose a star player to user because it helps you get open for your teammate.
I mean in all fairness, they're under the impression that most people playing this event have a partner and are not just finding randoms to play with for each game... if you have someone to play with I could see it being pretty doable.

Randoms is a waste. Played 4 games and not one person did anything that I would consider even remotely decent. And all were DLine users.... I know there’s some good ones out there but for the most part they are horrible. They are just trying to find someone that will carry them and I hate to break it but 2 decent guys on one team are always going to beat a great guy and a horrible guy on the other team.

I am fine with having to win 6 in a row, it is tough but doable.
But I did five matches. Two quitters immediately, a d-line user (with an 82 OVR defense), somebody who wouldn't get off RB but refused to hit turbo or spin, and another guy who threw three picks in three passes. Oh, and not one had a mic.
So, dealing with quitters, low level teams, people really bad at the game, and nobody communicating isn't really fun. If you're stuck with a bad partner, you're at a tremendous disadvantage - and if it's 1v2, that is much harder to do in my opinion, especially if they're communicating.
I'm on xbox and 97 OVR O & D if anybody with a mic wants to play either side of the ball, PM me. My skill level is 14ish wins in WL and I have several SB wins and am Seasons AM1. So I'd say slightly above average to good.
