Out of Curiosity...

Greetings everyone, I hope you all are well.  I've gotten good advice and feedback from people at this site, so I just wanted to throw this out there to see where everyone stands with this game.

A few months ago, I had a 96 team and would actually get frustrated when a "lesser" opponent would beat me, albeit I can admit now it was due to my own lack of skills.  But I then went to a theme team, and I can say that I actually have a lot more fun playing the game now.  If a H2H game isn't fun, I can simply quit.  So my question - do you guys play to have fun, or is it an adrenal rush/competitive thing?  Or both?  Don't get me wrong, I love the competition, but I'm more focused on actually enjoying it now.

Along these lines, do you people that play with the Pats playbook and Vick, and run two or three different plays, actually have FUN doing this?  I'm running Trubisky at QB (striking fear into all opponents) with the Bears playbook.  Haven't used Vick (or Hill) all year, and won't in the future.  Playing against a Vick and seeing Pats Sails every play is NOT my idea of enjoyment.  More times than not I can shut it down, but it sucks the enjoyment out of the game for me, and I can't count how many times I've quit games while being ahead.  Just curious if anyone else feels the same way.  Take care.

I run a Broncos 45/50 team at the moment and do not get fussed with wins or losses.  I play to have fun and yes, winning is more fun than taking the loss, but can't worry with it.  I run the Broncos playbook and have/will not use Vick or use the Pats playbook.

The competition is what makes it fun. I don't care how many plays my opponent uses. I enjoy winning and I enjoy playing people that are better than me. I do hate when the game itself allows stupidity to reign. Sprinting backwards to one side of the field and throwing a dart to opposite sideline down field is lunacy. Being AGG caught on in double or triple coverage is another example. Losing to bum plays isn't great but fortunately, that is not the majority.

Tbh when I see Vick with pats sails or crossers I always just try way harder to embarrass them instead of quitting. It’s more satisfying when someone runs that cheap gimmick and you can overcome it. I’ve had comebacks from 20+ point deficits against guys that ran the same play every play... and you know they cry at the end of those games.

I hear you, and that's where I'm having some issues right now.  Do I stick with these games even though it will be incredibly annoying (but with a nice payoff), or do I just bail and go out to the next game and actually enjoy it.  I will say this though, I've run across a few guys who will use Vick, Hill, etc., Pats or Saints playbook, and I can't stop them at all based on hot routes they are doing out of these plays.  At least in those situations I don't feel bad about quitting and giving up a likely W.

I have found, when you come out in something that somebody is not used to seeing it actually works to your benefit.
