PA is clutch......i get a ton of through the body picks, tip picks, etc.....its great and def worth saving the AP......acrobat is one the most inconsistent overrated ablities imo
I switched to Pick Artist from Acrobat a while back (Before XMAS) because it's 1 AP versus 2 AP. I've had five Pick Artists for my seven DBs on the field. Now I'm torn... do I add two more Pick Artists... or go back to Acrobat?
Pick Artist has been good for me.
With this AP update I just kept acrobat (which has been going nuts for me today, left and right acrobat picks a game) but I also added pick artist to some of my players. I have lurker and PA on parsons and he lurked the heck out of my opponents and the animation was so smooth and fast he took it to the house they didn’t even have a chance. The Stam makes a drastic difference because the next drive Simmons with similar speed got a pick and he was way slower and he doesn’t have PA
I dont think the description for PA is even accurate. It says better catch animation for uncontested balls i believe, but that isnt true. There is no issue with catching interceptions in this game at all. People tend to complain about 1 drop pick out of the 10 unrealistic picks you benefit from. PA i dont think improves drop occurrences, it improves you animating for a higher change for interception.
What PA actually does is better catching animation for contested balls, not uncontested. It will light up when your defender is next to a WR and it will allow the db to clip through the receiver for the pick. So you only benefit with better animation is if your DB is next to a WR which would mean contested, not contested. If your dl is all alone or not even close to a defender, not really going to change anything and not going to benefit from PA, that is where acrobat comes in when it does trigger when your defender has some distance from WR and will dive for the knockdown or catch.
It's spec catch animations, (which can be better) less chance of dropping I believe, (whether because of the animation or not) and you get infinite stamina on returns until you use a move or break a tackle.
I ran it some in 21 but tbh acrobat is better, especially with more AP on defense now, on an AP budget PA would make more sense.
I agree, they’re both great. Since the AP updated I kept acrobat on those who had it and just added PA to the other DB’s and my user and it’s working amazing
I have 4 acrobats, 2 S, 2 CB, with 2 Lurker MLBs and that covers the field well so far in my 3-4 defense. My CB2 is also Patterson so he has OSA also, I only really play man when I blitz though.
catching is they dont drop it when they get their hands on it even sometimes theyll catch the ball through the recievers body and the stamina is when u get a pick they have infinite stamina until you do ball carrier move or break a tackle so infinite if ur just running and dont get caught in anything or do a move .
they catch the ball instead of dropping it when they are in position for INTs, the improved stamina isnt much but they have hands of glue
It says better catching and improved stamina but is it significant? Like do the players get better animations or win more 1on1’s etc… basically is there more to it then what it seems. Thinking about running PA instead of acrobat on some players but acrobat really comes in clutch with diving picks
