What if… In a perfect world… (Some ideas for a better Madden)
Here’s some ideas for making a Madden where the community is involved heavily. If the community is involved more, the game is better, because the community is who the game is driven towards, therefore they know best what the game should be like
Each year, in May, we as a madden community elected a President of madden, much like the YS government. Not only would we elect the Madden President, we would be able to nominate people all year for certain positions like Card Art department, Franchise department, and MUT promo department. This would allow the community to decide if a certain area in madden was bad, we could vote to have a new person promoted to the position as a replacement. There could be campaigns and the community would be much more involved. The game could still be monetized, by someone buying EA and implementing these features, like an NFL staff. The owner appoints staff members who are skilled at certain jobs, except this time, the owner allows the community to appoint people with of course his approval of official nominees. This is of course never going to happen but would solve several problems with the game.
There could also be a fan card art challenge for every promo. For example, for the Harvest promo. Madden reveals the Master of the promo, and have a fan art competition for an alternate card art option. Whoever wins has their art displayed on the card, displaying their work to everyone. They could do this with every big promo (Most Feared. Harvest, Playoffs, etc.)
One golden ticket is voted by fans. This means, GTs get randomly given out like normal, but one GT is saved and there’s a fan vote for the GT choice. Much like TOTY, whoever gets the most votes will be the GT, and this is the GT that is involved in the Fan Card Art competition. They reveal in Twitter and whatever else, “Hey, ____ won the Community Golden Ticket vote.” and they have a competition to make a card art for the player. Whatever art wins that competition is displayed as the official main card art for the Community GT.
A fan vote for Superstar and Superstar X Factor changes. In my opinion, SS and X factor dev traits are a very interesting honor to a player, but there are many undeserving dev traits given out, so it’s lost its prestige a bit. This would make it to where every few months or so (Early August for game start, first of November, first of January, and first of March, then wait until summer for voting for the next year) there would be a vote to decide who was included in the Superstar X-Factor database. This way we could get some more accurate representation of top NFL stars. For example, it took EA 2 years to take away Ezekiel Elliott’s X-Factor. EA still hasn’t given JC Jackson a superstar X Factor. With this system, the database would be more accurate, with votes starting around the time when players prove themselves
