On PC, it's almost exactly like the previous year. Even the same bugs and cheese plays that never got fixed.
Yeah tbh PC was probably not on the list, it's not even a full port of PS5/Xbox Series version it's still pretty last-gen which has to stink for those with EA Play or Origin subs. But they do seem to have made an actual attempt to improve some things (respect the Madden devs hate the corporate EA dudes)
New animations are awesome this year 🤷
The passing game is a completely new game. Feels more like a modern game should. Ball placement where you want it, skill based etc. Good change.
New agg catch animations massive w 🤷🤷🤷 putting paws up to snag a quick catch instead of diving up 100 feet so you can be flipped on your head. Can actually Moss and catch over people again.
It's fun af.
I mean, you could take the game, turn it sideways and shove that sumb@@@h where the sun don't shine as The Rock used to say........there's SO many things that need fixing....this precision passing is a joke, who knows how much time they spent on that mechanic...One thing I always find so funny with Clint is the dude was actually an O Lineman in the NFL and EA cannot for the life of them get blocking mechanics even remotely correct. I know Clint isn't a programmer but he talks up the blocking in Madden.....Seriously....Coach Madden passed this past year, the LEAST they could do was honor him with a truly quality game....what a shame. maybe they'll get their act together this year with some solid patches. I have my doubts

Coming from MLB the Show I had hopes that M23 would be comparable as far as gameplay, menus, music, you know the details. Unfortunately Sony is light years ahead of EA. M23 isn't a bad game, but it clearly still in beta being released as final. There's a plethora of problems currently. All this guy would need to do is play the game. You don't need reviews when the problems are as clear as they are.... Hell, playing UT feels like I'm playing remotely. The whole thing feels half-asked but then again MLB the Show kind of shines like no other, I just figured EA would be able to match that type of precision.
I love football more than baseball but yeah, MLB The Show is pretty much the ideal sports game in the current day. I left M22 early for it and wasn't gonna buy the new one but managed to win a copy in EA's twitch stream (thanks for doing 20 or so copies EA). But I haven't vibed with it yet and while the new passing could be cool once I figure it out it's still largely the same game likely to only reward the biggest spenders and cheesiest players in MUT.
Every time these guys give an interview, it sounds condescending asf. This should've been a pure puff piece, and Clint has the cojones to say "find those nuggets of truth"? They spend more time figuring out how to nerf rewards and kill modes than they do how to actually improve the game.
"...with the amount of time we have" EA had an entire year to fix the invalid line up bug, the half-time adjustments feature/bug, the AH problems, and many others. Instead they made a half-a$$ed attempt at fixing sets and eliminated the best rewards and the ability to compare opponents speed and abilities during the game. Who, in the "community" wanted that?
"...try to find those nuggets of truth". EA may not find many "nuggets" because nuggets don't float.
Well that sounds like progress. It’s been 3 years they’ve been ignoring everything.
Here’s what I’d tell them: Fix the DESYNC’s!

"We listen to our players, we're scouring Metacritic, we're scouring forums, Reddit," McHardy said. "Like Clint said, we've got to be thick-skinned, because some of it is scathing. We know that's because people love the game so much, so we're able to be thick-skinned about it and try to find those nuggets of truth. And we collect all of that up and ask ourselves what we know about the game and what we think we can improve, and we put all that together and make lists. 'OK, what are all the things we can go after this year with the amount of time we have?' ...
