I usually play solo battles and solos in general on the PS4 version. Sure, the load times are whatever, but the solos are usually much easier. Then, for any multiplayer or franchise stuff, I use the PS5 version.
And yes, once you start a week of solo battles on a specific console generation, you are locked into that option for the week, presumably because EA doesn't want you double dipping into rewards (even though it's the same account, and the auction house is cross-generation, but not cross-platform)

You can’t do that in the middle of the week. Once you start on a console, you need to finish on the console. Do NOT retire your progress unless you don’t want to play any more games this go around.
Also as an FYI for next week, even loading/viewing the games counts as starting. So be sure to do that on NextGen next week if that’s where you want to play.
So I assume on Monday when it resets is when I could switch?
What happens if I start my solo battles on current gen and the switch to next gen? It asked if I wanted to retire my progress, but I don’t know what actually happens? Thanks all!
