Dailies not tracking must be intentional, right?

Season 2 has been out for at least 4 weeks, and many still aren't getting their dailies to track. We are missing out on some big XP, especially when you are hitting those last few obiectives. This must be intentional? How could something so simple to fix not be fixed after a month?

I think it’s a mix of both. A quick search shows that their stock price is down and they’ve laid off employees this year. My guess is they screwed this up and are choosing not to fix it because the priority is revenue. So new cards will keep coming and any glitch that benefits players will be fixed ASAP, while issues like this are on the way back burner.

Yeah, I can do the dailies, and I will get the coin reward, but the tracker that tracks how many dailies I have completed every day still does not track. It still says zero. So we are missing out on a good chunk of XP.

It’s a joke

Intentional, unlikely. Incompetence by employees that realize they can half ass it and still maintain their job, more likely.

The daily is a perpetual issue if they dont fix because we cant reach all the milestones like 30, 40 days etc. i have done every day and not a single has counted for daily tracker. Now i a, stuck at level 40 with nothing to do left really

Just make the daily worth more exp and negate the consecutive daily xp. Would at least give us a chance to finish the field pass and get caught back up.

Are you a programmer for a large gaming company? It's either not easy to fix, or they are too dumb to fix it. I'm guessing a mix of both.

I remember reading an article some years back on Vice or somewhere and they basically said when EA made the jump from one gen to the other (I believe it was from PS2 to PS3), they were rushed to get the game out by a certain deadline, and they had just implemented a new engine. Basically the article said, from that first release on that gen until now, because of their rush to get out that first release, they basically have just left the same skeleton in place and then just kept piling code over and over and over again on that original release's foundation because they didn't want to have to strip it back down and start over from scratch and build it the way it should've been. And not long after that, and this is my added observation - they put out MUT as a mode and realized they could just keep churning shit out and make money with minimum effort while ignoring the existing issues with the code. That to me really explains why bugs like this are so pervasive every year and they seem to have such a hard time nailing them down and fixing them... it also explains why so often when they fix one thing they always break another. That, and they're just fucking lazy and pathetic.

This makes so much sense. I didn't start playing MUT til mut 18. But then on YouTube I looked back to old Madden versions, and outside of graphics, they look and played damn near the same. The same animations, the same celebrations...so much of it looked the same; the only difference being better graphics.

Do you have a link? I read that this code goes back to 2006.

I'm going with too dumb to fix it. It clearly is working for some people, and not others. I'm just hoping they do a make right at some point and award us missing XP.

glasscitytitan

It definitely can't be an easy fix

It's likely a mix of years of bad coding, field passes new to the game, and lack of experience with current developers.

glasscitytitan

For sure man having to work through bad coding and years of it and implementing new codes has to be a fricken nightmare
