Watched my first MCS

Want that diggs. But I was surprised at how unexceptional the gameplay was. Bad reads, average stick skills, questionable (at best) strategies, poor clock management. Play calling didn't really seem much different than what I face in MC every week. Just a bunch of copy and paste god squads.

Was that the norm? Or was it unusually bad? Unimpressed to say the least.

It's so pathetic. Literally every player I watched ran the same 2 formations on offense, and the same plays over and over again. I'm not saying there should be a cool down mode, but there should be something programed into the game where the AI starts reacting better/faster or jumping routes or something if the same play is called 5-10+ times a game. ... This is our NFL simulation football game for God sake.

It’s not how are used to be it’s just nothing more people exploiting how awful the game is designed 🦃🦃

I think the pros are just faster at presnap adjustments. That’s why there was so much complaining about quicksnapping last year.

nehi79

Why don't you enter the next tournament and show the pros how it's really done.

natej88

Haha yeah I figured I'd get that response. There is a certain way of playing that I refuse to engage in, so I know there's a ceiling I'll never surpass.

I just thought I would see more refined gameplay, strategies etc. A lot more mistakes and coin flips than I would have guessed.

As someone who has played Pro canes (lost bad) Cleff (lost bad) and 49er for life (won one game out of three) it is not as simple as you make it. They WILL find the hole in your defense and the adjustments to outscore you on offense. Cleff didnt even seem super glitchy back when I played him. He just didnt make a single mistake.

natej88

Oh it never is as simple as it seems. And I don't even blame them for being "glitchy", shit there is real cash on the line. I just didn't expect the amount of mistakes I saw

therealmcpassion

Fair enough.

tecmoeaglesqb12

I get your point, that is why I am not in the NBA, I refuse to play a certain way, even if I could dunk, I woulnd't.

natej88

I never said I could or that was why I'm not. Just that I despise that way of playing. To me, E-sports and streaming is ruining these games. Because you can't fault someone for exploiting everything possible when money is on the line. But then that trickles it's way down and ruins the spirit of the game for everyone.

That wasn't my point at all. Thats like saying a sports analyst can't talk about sloppy play in an NBA game because they don't play in the NBA.

And please don't compare true athletic feets to playing a video game.

NoRazorBumpz

Well for one, true athletic feet usually smell really bad, so it’s kinda similar to that of gaming conventions/E-sports tournaments.

That said, I’d qualify something as athletic if it requires hand-eye coordination and it requires anaerobic or aerobic exercise. Based on the mouth breathers I hear on their mics, I’d say online gaming can be quite aerobic for some.

I will not correct myself, so that your post can be appreciated in the way it deserves to be. Bravo

You should blame the internet for spreading info on how to break these games. Back before YT only a few ppl really understood madden mechanics to the level they could be abused. Now alot of players dont even have to come up with their own scheme.
