It’s so inconsistent I’ve quit wasting time doing it. I double team the inside stuff guy and go with it. My FB runs to the second level to block deep safeties regardless of what I try to tell them to do.

I feel in formations with a lead blocker like iform that blocker, the FB, will directionally target the mike, so it can make sense to id the right player
ive seen a lot of people say it doesnt do anything on run plays but I still do it anyways. you want to id the guy who you think is a free blitzer.
