Edge threats go berserk in nickel over. I play on last gen and I don't think secure protector does a damn thing.
I run two edge threats 1 AP each. Outside of Pick Artist, I don’t think there’s really any dominant defensive abilities unless you want to spend 4 AP on inside shade. Most DBs get Pick Artist for 0-1 AP so 2 AP on edge threat isn’t a big deal and if there’s someone trying to get away with not using secure protector then they’re screwed
I have never liked DON, but I still rock two Edge Threats. If they have an Edge Protector it hurts, but I still get through sometimes, and it absolutely punishes people who have went away from EP's
No "deal breakers" in MUT...I still run two Edge Threats...don't know if it helps, but the name of the ability makes me think my cards are doing something (spoiler alert...they are not).
I abandoned DoN and Edge Threat weeks ago and just rolling with free abilities on my DL like speedster, el toro, reach elite, etc. Haven’t really noticed a drop off in pressure and I mostly rush 3-4 but do blitz as well
Do you ever get pressure running 3-4? I typically send 4 but sometimes 5

I rarely ever run 3-4, I pretty much exclusively run nickel, dollar, and quarter formations and move my strong safeties down to sub LB. I pretty much only use LBs who can pass rush and my MLBs rarely see the field
I meant 3-4 people as in your original comment. Atleast thats what I thought it meant lol
I got rid of ET yesterday, a month too late. The only people not using EP/SP on their tackles are the kids who rarely play H2H.
I have only used edge protector all year and have had plenty of pressure just sending 4 every play
Edge Threat isn’t really useable with how many secure protectors you come against. Unless it’s free I think it’s a waste of AP

Ran the two combined and haven’t experimented with ET without DoN so curious how it is? Thinking about upgrading SB Aaron Donald to Chandler Jones for TT reasons
