It uses the same set up as any kick off/special teams players. If you don't know how special teams are set up, you can Google charts. That is why backups are important.
Edit... this is why kick off returns are way easier right now(besides whatever ea did to mess it up) than they will be later on. This is why I'll by a 79 back up to certain positions rather than the cheapest backup.

Thanks. I'm just saying wouldn't hands team use your best WRs and TEs... Being that it's hands team?
You would think so, and in real life they go by how you are at it, madden goes by overall. Look at Matthew Slater. Dude hasn't done shit stat wise but is one of the best special team players or all time. Madden doesn't address that because they are lazy and generally idiots. I think they only watch sport center top 10 plays and dictate everything off that. Slater is/was so good at it that he should be hall of fame in years to come, probably won't be though even though its a huge part of the game. The developers don't watch football man, besides highlights and what is sexier than a tackle for 3 yards gained on a kickoff or punt? Its a disrespected art, anyone who has played the game at a high level, or even semi high level knows that.

Why does hands team use your crappiest WRs and TEs? Just hand a guy recover two onside kicks on me by popping the ball up and my WR jump to get it and push the ball right into his team.
