Take out abilities the gameplay this year is decent because abilities are nerfed. Imagine if they are not in the game.
No mention of what has been the biggest problem though .The broken gaming engine. Being rewarded for spamming 1 or 2 plays. We didn't have these issues until frostbite showed up
I don't know about that. The first year of frostbite was m18. That is the year they started to nerf the penalties for small lineups but you were still penalized and 3-4 was the go to d. In M19 was the start of just throwing physics out the window and they started the first iteration of abilities. Now if you play franchise and play in franchise leagues with good players, especially on SIM... you see that physics is working. Just like intentional grounding called in franchise 99% of the time correctly and in MUT 30% if that.
So saying it is frostbite just can't be it. Does the engine suck - yes. But that doesn't cause the 1-2 plays offense nor does it cause the issues with the small defenses. Deep blues not playing the last guy well except streaks and safeties and CBs playing the 2nd line or blitzing are a big part of the issues. These did not exist for example in M25. Yes guys brought up small players but if you noticed and ran on them they were pancaked.
All of this is for the competitive madden guys. They want it to be gun bunch and throwing to act like they are good. All of the physics problems in MUT and the defense issues which help make the offensive issues worse... These are all things EA has thought about and lets go through. My guess is that they want to sell packs to the new player. To sell packs the new player needs some go to plays that work really well if your players are better than opponents.
I just remember this game changed completely a few years ago to what we have now. Madden 25 was awesome. In the past Madden had its issues but at least it was real football concepts. Not this trash we have now
Ah OK, yeah I was off by a year. Good breakdown though
Yea it is weird that the game completely flipped the 2nd year of frostbite. It doesn't make sense. Go play m18 and then m19 and it is the largest shift from one year in madden history. Physics totally thrown out window, made the run game horrible. The only logic is that the dev team thought they could sell abilities better doing this. I am not sure how it makes sense because why would a SS sell better than a MLB?
When was the engine implemented? Don't really follow all that stuff.
I don't mind one play spamming because it's pretty easy to bag. My issue is the flipping plays and the input lag.
I believe Frostbite took over the gaming engine in 18, and madden 19 was their 1st go.. it's been them ever since . And that's when the bs really started in my opinion. I been playing madden since 93. I'm old lol
Right. I'll have my defense set up perfectly and then they flip the play. Then I'm not able to setup before they quick snap me due to input lag. This pissed me off. Guys are not good. They just manipulate the game.
I still tend that a mode with play limits, limiting the number of times you can flip a play or audible at the line would be good. It's the only mode I would play. So tired of guys flipping bunch from wide to side. So unrealistic.
