Really Wish I Knew How People Have Millions Lol
I'm NMS, don't even play much more than about 30-60 minutes most days and have around 6 mil stocked up. I don't waste time working the auction house either.
I just sell everything I get and basically have only played with BND or budget cards in my lineup since day one.
Just do the daily objectives, bang out the promos, sell cards. I just have no interest in having a 300-400K 90 overall card in my lineup. I'll wait until I can use that 300-400 K and buy a much better card.
Obviously the balance though is that the game might be over before I start spending my coins. It all really depends on how you like to play. I personally just like to slowly build a team and mess around a bit.
This - reading between the lines it comes down to discipline and patience...if you're not that guy/girl you're never going to build up a coin stack without spending money.
No offense but I don't really understand this. A 90 is just as good now as a 95 is when they first come out. And then they won't be as good when 96s are out.. 97s etc... Until everyone has all 97-99s and all cards are basically the same.
Some would actually argue they are better now because ratings don't matter as much once thresholds are met.
I think what he's getting at is that those same 90's will be half price in 10-14 days after they release in most cases and if you're gonna pull the trigger do it then. Don't give into the hype EA is pushing with new cards and stick to an objective proven plan and capitalize when possible (last night would have been a good time for example).
It's not that you aren't as good as before... the game has changed a lot in the last couple years. Now it's either spend good amounts of money or grind like it's a full time job. MUT is not for casual players unless you spend money to compensate not grinding all day.
without playing h2h you are missing out on the rewards from the modes themselves plus the field passes. those xp, coins, packs, and players make a huge difference.
Oh you know...working the AH and buying in anticipation of releases are a couple ways...I like the platinum bundle way. It is not that you are not as good as you once were...it is as you noted "end of an era"...time or money is the secret.
