Whats point of punt return formation if my punt return man doesn't work?
Called punt return. Opponent punts ball to near 7 yard line, however my punt returner stands at the 15 yd lone and doesn't attempt to catch the ball. I manually attempt to field the ball and of course my idiot punt returner cant pick up a football and gets hit with a safety.
What's the point? This game is retarded and no wonder so many have given up on it.

Yeah, that's become annoying. A full 10 seconds after a fumble and you're still not sure who's come up with the ball. I fumbled into the endzone with Vick with like 5 seconds left in a game(a few months ago). I had to wait for literally, 7 or 8 seconds to figure out who recovered....it was my boy Hutch!

No, the game is not retarded...which is something an immature little child says, you're the idiot here.
If you know the kicks going inside your 10 and you WANT to field it, you click on your return man and he will automatically go and field it. If you wait until the ball is bouncing, then pick it up eventually and run into the endzone, the problem is with you bud.
I could understand the returner not trying to catch ball if there was opposition closing in immediately but not one of their players were close.
At least line up my return man where the ball is going to drop so I can make that decision to catch the ball or let it go.
As it stands there is still scum kicks that kick to 1 HD line area and your kick returner dumbs out and wont do anything. If I try to catch it, ball goes off helmet and is sometimes caught or can cause safeties.
Horrible programming and a community that tolerates it = trash game.
My general rule is if it doesn’t auto line up just run as far away as you can

Yea if you don’t field a punt in the air best bet is to get away from it. I don’t understand why they can’t fix that - it’s very annoying. It’s kind of hard to recover fumbles too this year.
