Ultimate Team has no variety

Yea nope. I’ve seen a ton of variety in the teams I play in seasons or WL recently. Only exception where it was awful was while Dickersons Xfactor wasn’t patched (took way too long) and it seemed that 80% or more of the playerbase had him on their team.

See a ton of different QBs including pocket passers, a bunch of different HBs that aren’t Barkley or Dickerson and a bunch of different Dline and LBs. Only position group I would agree with (post Dickerson patch) that has a lot of the same is safeties...

I've used Rodgers since the start of the year because I like him, deal with it. I run the Raiders playbook because that's the one I ran an entire season in Face of the Franchise. I use Nickel Double A Gap as my base lineup. I have Sean Taylor and Tyrann Mathieu at safety. I use Dalvin Cook at RB. You shouldn't care who you're playing against because that's their Ultimate Team, worry about your own and beating theirs.

Its because the game is bad. If ea was competent enough to actually make a balanced realistic game like all pro football or 2k5 then it would be more variety.

I use none of those QB, nor have I at any point this year. I do have Tillman, only because he's a free 96, so why not? Haven't owned Dickerson at any point this year either, Emmitt Smith for me.

Cowboys theme team, 46/50. I have 5/10 Chiefs chem due to my DT2 Chris Jones (x3), MLB3 85 or so Lanier, and TE1 Kelce.

Not everyone runs the same stuff.

Young is my starting QB and Westbrook/Hearst are my starting rb's. My team is 97 ovr, 50/50 Niners TT. On my 96 ovr Raiders 50/50 tt, I run with Cullpepper, Bo, Marcus and ED. SO not everybody runs with those players. Look harder

I use Culpepper QB and Lamar Miller at RB on a pure Dolphins theme team. Everybody in this game uses the players that play the best and don't care about the ones they actually like. H2H is painfully stale and repetitive this year and Ive been playing more draft than H2H because seasons is boring.

I feel the same way, I run a legit Seahawks theme team with a few of my favorite non-Seahawks players. I just try to keep it in perspective and not let it ruin what enjoyment I do get from the game. Legit football fans see the game one way and then you have those who just want to win at any cost And I’ve probably never watched football in their life

You have some of the best players available in most teams but most everyone runs a theme team so look harder

What does your lineup look like?

I run 100% Cowboys theme team. He is right no variety in this game. It’s like playing the same solo over and over in h2h. Madden could learn some lessons from mlb the show diamonds dynasty. Thank YouTube for the death of this game.

I use Mahomes at QB, Polamalu at SS, and Le'Veon Bell at HB.

I actually see a good deal of variety, just not at the very highest level of the game (i.e., after WL game 15).

I’d love to see them add a theme team mode you gotta have 50/50 of that team. I feel like a game mode like that would bring back more skill and strategy based gameplay because you’d only have so many spots to add non team players to your line up so you have to pick them carefully figure out the weak point in the lineup and swap out

That's the point though. You want the best players and the best way to win. FIFA..Ronaldo..Messi..etc...NHL, Ovi, Crosby, etc...NBA, Giannis, LeBron, etc...

I only use LJ because im a Ravens fan duhh. I use the Ravens O/D playbook. I like to play opposite of the meta... feels like pulling teeth sometimes though.. Days I just wanna pick up the Raiders O playbook and run stretch, Have to control myself.

Well my team is 97 OVR (could be 98 if I went for pure OVR) I run with Mahomes or Eli as my QB, Saquon as my HB (Giants/Jets fan), I run the Patriots PB - I could not bring myself to run that Raiders PB so I could spam stretch - my PB has 3 total stretch plays in it and only 1 of them is any good. I run the Giants (no 1-4-6) or Jets D (has 1-4-6 but I rarely ever use it). My safeties are Mays, Troy, Jamal (again, Giants/Jets fan) , and Minkah - but Minkah is a ball hawk so yeah I use him.

This year, I play my game my way. In past Maddens I've won a lot more games but I also was running SOME of the metas. Now I choose to run plays I like. I used to win 75%+ of my games, now I basically go 50-50 but screw it because I don't need to run the meta. I see some ridiculous DDA stuff happen. I see some ridiculous glitches. An example, just last night I had Calvin running free down the middle of the field about 35 yards away, 7 yards past anyone about - no pressure on Mahomes....let it fly, Calvin slows down to a crawl, the ball floats and 3 defenders catch up to him and knock it away. The guy I was playing was clearly about 4 OVR lower than me (but there's no DDA in the game, right EA).....Stuff like this happens all the time not only on O but on D......But hey, I've accepted that Madden is a game of finding glitches, posting them on social media. and having people without an original thought in their head copy them and follow along like worker bees.

But I'm a New Yorker through and through and I do stuff my way, for better or worse in Madden. I use who works for me, not who everyone says to use.

I see way more different QBs and RBs than that, although yes those are the most common, although I would add 99 mahomes to that list as pretty common. I do agree with the premise but it's not quite as limited as you say.
