New Mahomes Makes It Tough to Not Spend
The free Elway powered up isn''t that far off from the new Mahomes. I don't get why people are flushing money down the toilet on these bundles.

Im not, simply because I know the WANT is just temporary. I wanted to come into this year with a goal, spend smart, only chase players I like in real life. Only real money I spent on this game is the level up packs, and those run $2-$5 those are always worth it imo. After smartly investing, and holding out on buying the new shiny cards, Im sitting on 700,000 coins with enough training points to power up anybody. Still not going into my stash yet until I know it’s a player I’ll be keeping for a long time. Waiting on some players to drop that would go with the theme team I plan to transition to. Until then, market watch, snipe, grind, stack up so I can be prepared when something big drops.
I fully planned on spending on a couple large bundles during the 10 hour preview, then keeping the spending in check for the next couple of months.
Typically chasing new cards is rarely worth it as the huge advantage of having this cards dissapates in a week or two. But I couldn't avoid this Mahomes. I have the 86 Baker and IMO, he is just terrible for an 86 card. Misses so many wide open, short throws I just couldn't take it anymore.
I have refrained from going after the legends. And after the two bundles only boosted my roster via rewards from Solos and Leveling up.
I feel like you need an adequate QB to stay competitive against the better players and this new Mahomes should, I repeat SHOULD, allow me to set him and forget QB for a while. This is how EA gets you, they likely run algorithms to see where and when spending decreases for a large portion of the spenders, then release a card we feel is a must have. Hopefully I can hold myself in check but I just couldn't pass up this one.
