Not sure what you are talking about core golds "bottoming out"?
70-74 core golds are going anywhere from 1,200-3,000, bottoming out happens when they hit 700 or so 75-79 core golds are going from 3,000-10,000 depending on what set they are in, bottoming out for these is around 1,000 for 75
The core golds are definitely not work QS for TP because you will get a much better value selling in the AH.
And a lot of people are realizing how many of these Theme Diamonds qualify for Theme Teams.
The only thing you got right was there is no need to buy packs.

Theres no reason to make sets if you break exactly even
Quote from mvandor >> I'm a solo player and I'm just not seeing my high end cards performing at a level you'd expect unless I'm wasting time on 1 star games. And defense is a beeyotch even with my 88 D it seems like any 70 receiver the CPU puts out can burn me unless I blitz him to death and put all my X-Factor players into the blitz.
In short, I'm not seeing an on-field return for the investment. H2H guys likely experience something much different, but me I'm feeling less value than in 19 as though the CPU will do its thing no matter what I line up on it.
Heck I put together the 90 Willie Brown. He chemmed to 91 and I didn't plan on keeping him as I already have Captain Ty Law at 91. But the few games I had him at CB1 I was still coughing up yards if I wasn't blitzing heavily. Maybe if I'd placed X-Factor and abilities and/or powered him up, but I didn't want to waste the TP's on a card I planned to sell shortly.

Each year the core golds held fairly good value due to team diamonds and the bonus coins you get for completing that set.
Now that we have 32 team diamonds that arent worth a damn and no coin bonus for completing the set, these core golds are already bottoming out and are only semi valuable due to the training point conversion.
Im sure im not the only one but didnt feel too bad dropping some dough on packs with the expectation that even if I missed all top dogs, i could at least sell a few of the golds back to make it semi worth it.
This hurts EA wayyy more than it hurts us. Unless you are beyond wild with your money, there is absolutely no reason to buy any packs going forward.
So theres 2 options. Quit the game early and put your attention in to 2k or COD in the next few weeks. Or keep playing madden and have the majority of the spenders turn in to NMS because, lets be honest, its really not worth any type of microtransaction.
