Hope everyone is well. I'm just curious for all of you WL regulars (of which I consider myself), whether or not you plan on playing it this week in the game's current state. It was painful last night getting to 12 wins in the HR, simply because of the awful lag, the play selection, and the broken defense. I have a very good wired connection and have never experienced bad lag in the game until this patch. Having to push the button two or three times to select a play is annoying (and I know that's not related to lag), but what's worse is that it seems to have carried over to the audible and adjustment calling too.
But the worst is the defense. Wow. I posted this in a different thread, but I had full PU Gilmore get beat by 79 Trey Burton on an out-and-up pattern. The second time it happened I usered a DL and zoomed out just so I could watch. And Gilmore just stood there and let Burton run upfield by him, and only started after him when he was clearly beaten. So last night I did the same thing. My opponent had 3rd and 22 so I called Cover 4 Palms, played the sticks, and usered a DL so I could watch what was happening. Full PU Eddie Jackson sat two yards behind the first down line, and the opposing WR caught the ball 5 yards in front of him and got the first down. He never moved. His imitation of a statue was quite stellar, though.
